Broad Street is their version of what The Strip used to be in Knoxville. Is there an area vols tailgate at? Friday night dinner, any must go to ? Parking? Gameday, and pregame restaurants hangouts etc. Pregame traditions things to do? Looking to experience it .....and watch Vols trifecta: Bama, Gators, Dawgs all in one season
Be ready to have a bunch of grown ass men jump in your face and bark the entire ****ing game.Is there an area vols tailgate at? Friday night dinner, any must go to ? Parking? Yeah, I hope you have a good experience. I wouldn’t go there with free tickets. In 2021 at Neyland there were four drunk 20-something Georgia fans next to us and that was the most miserable game I’ve ever sat through. They were cussing the Vols from before the game all the way until we left. Totally classless! I can’t imagine what they’ll be like in Athens.Like anywhere, there are some good fans. Proportionally, the fewest will be at uga.
Entitled, pseudo-elitist, and constantly needing affirmation.
Look beyond the lack of tradition, game day experience, and fans wearing leather collars and I’m sure you’ll have a blast.
If you feel like eating dinner early on Friday, Fresh Air BBQ out on Hull Road is excellent old timey BBQ. They close at 7PM though. Parking: Try the classic center but be there pretty early. Pregame restaurants vary from kind of fancy to just old school hangouts. My top two in downtown Athens are The Grill & Clocked. Is there an area vols tailgate at? Friday night dinner, any must go to ? Gainesville only slightly edges out Athens for worst in the SEC IMO. Gainesville is the only place I have seen multiple physical altercations, with some being between two UF fans. This was during the height of the Urban years too.my prayers are with you. Worst visiting game we have ever been too (and I've been everywhere except Mississippi state).

That's unacceptable but not surprising. I find most UT fans usually get on others that are being too rowdy to opponent fans. That's the way it should be, stadium "security" is a joke. I have no interest in paying a lot of money to go be treated that way. This right here. Creating a stadium environment that is feared by the opposing team is one thing. Being downright nasty is another.
A couple of years ago in Athens I was fortunate enough to score tickets 4 rows behind our sideline. My buddy and I were the only ones wearing orange in the entire section. We both got completely soaked from beer showers. Peanut shells, candy wrappers, ice cubes, and other miscellaneous items rained on us all game. And the worst part was the parents of the UGA players who were in the adjacent section. They were hootin' and hollerin' at us as if we were Israelis taking a stroll down the Gaza strip.
On the walk back from the stadium to the tailgate, I have never been harassed so much as an opposing fan. One kid got in my face and screamed "go back to Knoxville, you ****in' inbred hick!" Mind you, I live in Atlanta. My response was, "well, at least my state didn't vote for Biden!"
I didn’t have nearly the same experience you had, but UGA was by far the worst game I’ve ever been to. The fans were absolutely terrible. I’ve been to Gainesville multiple times and never had a bad experience. Just stay off fraternity row! That should be a given for any place thoughThis right here.
