Austin Price gives promising update on Nico

I pray this isn't just smoke to mislead UGA....itll only help for about 1 or 2 series if Moore comes out, then theyll adjust. Assuming there's no risk of further injury, i hope Nico is a full go.......I want this win and I wanna shut those barking fans up as they wait for their 3rd tier bowl game announcement in December.

He may do what is required and pass all the tests with flying colors but then there is the parent's concerns. They may not want him back in that soon. I wouldn't blame them knowing what we know about concussions now.
He's far too young to be that greedy for a game. Has to be health first. Even more so for a concussion. Once you get that first one... I'm a little surprised Tua has not retired after his bouts in Miami.

or maybe its a double smoke screen.

come out with Moore because we can't do crap in the first quarter anyway. then once they adjust, boom Nico time.

I wouldn't be against a game plan that uses Nico sparingly if he is cleared at all. I feel pretty confident with Mr. TD in the backfield and our D, Moore could manage the game a plenty and even throw in a few great plays. He looked very comfy on roll out passes and quite accurate on them. Maybe not so much a warm fuzzy against a normal UGA team, but against this years team and with Beck regressing to a head case...who knows.

Sadly, I doubt Nico will play Saturday. His absence from the sideline during the 2nd half was a very bad sign.

Frankly, it's not up to CJH either.
I read up on UT and the NCAA's concussion protocols and if he is practicing with the team like AP said, then he is close to the end of the checklist to be cleared to play. They only let kids do that if the physicians think he can handle it.

His absence from the sidelines was standard procedure. He's going through protocol but it doesn't mean he actually had one. For All we know it could have been a migraine.

If he's practicing with the team doing team reps with 120 decibels bearing down on him...they aren't worrying about a concussion.

Yep, it’s gonna be up to Nico. I’m not a doctor, and hits that aren’t even concussions are bad for you, but Nico wasn’t knocked out cold, he wasn’t struggling to stand, this was luckily a mild concussion that I’m hoping they are being extra cautious with.
He can not play if the DRs say NO. If the Drs say OK, then his parents can say NO. If both say OK, he will play.

Saturday— He threw up after the hard tackle. He was held out.
Sunday— Tests and evaluation.
Monday— Attended meetings. Dressed. Threw routes.
Tuesday— At practice. Did not practice.
Wednesday— At practice. In pads. Threw. Practiced with team for closed practice.

It’s definitely trending in the right direction.

Exactly my thoughts. I think what's going on, and I'm not claiming to be a doctor, just my opinion, is that he's probably gonna be cleared to play, but gonna be up to him and his family on what they decide.

He’s over 18. I dont believe his parents have to say anything legally. Nico can make his own choice if doctors say Yes. Someone correct me if im wrong.
