McElroy Sayings About Georgia

Some of those comments apply to our offense…

“This group of wide receivers, they can’t separate, they can’t explode downfield. Their routes are terrible. I see on several occasions they don’t stem routes, they’re not setting up defenders. It’s just a lack of attention to detail at wide receiver. … The drops have been backbreaking.”

I think the offensive line is what lost them the game, as much as anything. The offensive line was just flat out not good.”

The Vols need to shore up their run D. If they can and the O plays well, I think the game is definitely winnable.
Here’s to the Dline wreaking hoavoc and the Oline protecting and road grading
GA is 104th in the country in rushing this year, St had a few gashes but we prevented the big plays they needed to come back and still held em to 14 . This is as gettable as a GA team is gonna get. Go Vols 🍊

I think you’re right. GA is good, but they’re not nearly as good as the previous GA teams.
They’ve got chemistry problems or something and a lack of playmakers at receiver

It’s like you don’t even watch the games lol.

There have been 2 components to offensive failure down the stretch:

1. Nico overloaded the cannon and had some overthrows (appears the 2nd half of Bama he has reeled that in)

2. WRs are dropping TDs

Agreed. He grossly overthrew Bru, who was wide open on that first drive. He threw it out the back of the endzone or it would have been free cookies for everyone.

This all day. Early in the SEC schedule the OL was under performing. Nico failed to hit some deep shots, WR's dropped would be touchdowns etc. Our one constant has been RB. Nico and the WR's have been better since the Bama game however they still have too many drops. We have to be consistent at GA to win and that challenge will get 10 times harder with GM at QB if that is indeed how it unfolds.

GA obviously has the overall talent to compete with anyone. But they lack the elite skill players they've had for most of the last decade. They don't have a Brock Bowers that can take over a game and open up gaps in other areas. And the OL has shown to have a lot of holes this year that they haven't had in years past. Defensively, they aren't nearly as disciplined as they have been in previous years. I have seen a ton of missed tackles that you just never see in other seasons.

At GA, winning got old, Kirby charisma has worn off as he can't pull a Saban, Kids and fast cars, deaths and prima donnas. It happens. Loss of control. They will recruit well but not as well. Some see through it. Kirby has some slippage. Under Pressure.

If we can just protect the football and not make the same mistakes as Texas we can win this game.

Thornton hasn’t had a drop this year and he’s our best deep threat.

That’s pretty simplistic but if it works for you it works
