Better to Give or Receive?

UGA night game. UT offense could have Gas Pipe under center or Cob Webbed Nico and an inconsistent OL or you have a defense that has looked at times like masters of the universe with a few brain farts.

Do you give the ball first if given the chance and hope to put Georgia on their heels or do you take the ball and hope to score quickly?

Usually CJH would give so he can have second half kickoff but he has been know to take the ball first.

I think he definitely gives and challenges the defense to prove on first series they are superior and take crowd out of the game. If Beck gets sacked or throws a pick in first series it could set tone but so could an overly aggressive defense that gives up a big play.

Take the ball after the 2nd half. I trust this defense to hold them. Also, would suck to take the ball and the offense turn it over early and get the crowd going.

You want the ball in the second half. Probably not going to score in the first half anyways based on recent history, so try to get an extra possession in the half that we actually put points on the board.

Should have put this in there but given the chance I bet Kirby gives the ball to UT first hoping he can get to QB and flip field. No way with Beck playing like he has been, he takes ball.

Receiving the 2nd half kickoff gives you the opportunity to steal an extra possession. So, that should always be the call.
