For me these are the key matchups that could influence the game.

UGA RB Cash Jones vs. Telander/Carter: outside of the run game, Cash is their big play RB receiving out of the backfield. He’s a good route runner with decent speed and when he is in they look to him to match up on a lb.

Lance Heard / Campbell vs Mykel Williams/Smael Mondon: Williams is first round talent- Mondon (who almost committed to the Vols) stands up from the LB position. Huge implications on these matchups and I don’t expect us to win every time but Heard needs to hang in there with his 5 star talent. Much rather have pressure successful on the right side than blind side though to give Nico a shot.

Kitselman vs Malachi Starks: everyone knows we want to run the ball- Starks is an all American and will be coming up hard in run support. We need Kitselman to make a few grabs with Starks getting stingy to soften that and let Sampson do his thing.

Nimrod vs his Hands: teams have exploited the slot on UGA- I know we have Squirrel doing most the action but with him still dealing with a shoulder we need Nimrod to catch the ball when he gets a shot.

We win a couple of these matchups and we’re in a great spot outside of the obvious ones like “win the line of scrimmage”

I think it's as simple as our OL vs their DL. Can we keep Nico upright. Can he have time to hit the big play? He's gonna have to hit some for us to have a chance. UGA is gearing up to stop Dylan Sampson and to make Nico beat them as they should. Gonna come down to our passing game. WR getting open, winning one on one's. And for the love, can we play a clean game with limited penalties?

That said, the defense just has to keep doing what they do. Hold UGA under 20, don't give up the big play. Disrupt everything. Need to get a TO or 2.

Agree with all of this- just was coming up with some direct matchup types - I’ve unfortunately watched them play alot having all my in-laws being slobbering dawgs. The family group text thread is the worst.

We've got to hit some of those deep balls and make them respect our nonexistent passing attatck.

Im hoing Heupel has actually came up with a game plan other than the usual. Ga will stack the box and force us to pass and I hope we're not down multiple scores when we realize we're gonna have to be more balanced. Can't let those fans get too rowdy early

I believe Cash Jones has been ruled Out
