End the “this offense is so close” commentary? They are not close. The oline is not great and is, at times, really bad. The WRs drop balls . . . A lot . . . Every game. In crucial situations. They are undisciplined. And still commit presnap penalties in critical situations which shows an ongoing lack of discipline.

Outside of Sampson . . . This offense . . . Is bad. And it has been for 2 years running. Nico was running for his life in the second half. Having side that . . . Nico is not all that. But he is still learning and growing.

Finally, the offense only plays one half every game. It has been a very long time since we have seen a dominant performance from our offense.

At this point we are what we are. A lot of the offensive struggles have came down to stupid mistakes, dropped balls, or over throws, or fumbles in the red zone so on and so on. So you could either look at the glass half full or half empty

The O Line is not good. The receivers are not good. Sampson is good, but he can't do a lot when we take the ball out of his hands.

Thought we ran extremely well tonight and still not sure why we got away from the run when it was our only consistent offense. Nico was alright but not great.

We're a good team, not a great team. Too much inconsistency and lack of bite outside of Sampson.

Hard to say. We moved the ball really well for large swaths of the night against the best defense on the schedule. Then it was the same things as always, dumb, small miscues and the inability to pick up a blitz, that did us in. Theoretically those are easy fixes, but somehow evade us. Wouldn’t be as much of a concern if we could compensate with big plays so we don’t have to constantly sustain long, mistake-free drives, but we can’t do that either

Sampson only ran the ball 6 times in the second half. We got too pass happy for some reason after going down 24-17. We were over 5ypc.

The most odd thing to me is there was only 1 deep shot and it was a PI. I don’t recall drawing up another deep shot after that.

They were drawn up. Nico didn't take them. And actually missed several

Looked a lot like a Fulmer coached squad out there tonight, zero in game adjustments, predictable play calling, no down the field deep balls, a few shots over the middle, but nothing to get excited about, never got in the red zone the second half, that won't work in the SEC and was not lost on the committee looking at teams to assemble for its 12 team playoff,

Conference is better in 2024 than it was in 2022, when Heupel last had a realistic shot to punch the ticket to the SEC championship game, but like South Caroline in 2022, looked like a half arsed effort to assemble a game plan for Georgia and the results, while long in coming, should not be that surprising, particularly with offense having struggled since late September.

Yep. No idea why our playcalling went away from what was working.

2 times on 3rd and 6 in 4 down territory we threw the ball and didn't get it.

Lewis also looked good running. TEs are good but underutilized. WRs are infuriating. Oline I thought looked okay, Georgia has a good defensive front. Nico had plenty of time and the RBs had holes, holding plenties though are frustrating; really frustrating when the standard of officiating is different on one side vs the other.

The offense played generally well and was efficient for the most part.

Nico is improving. He is running more. He converted a good amount of 3rd downs.

I see more reason for long term optimism. If the playcalling could hone in on the things they did well on the opening drive I think Nico could bust out.

The OL is the worst I've seen in 4 years. Yet it's amazing how much rushing yards they still produce. This may be a huge testament to Samson. They don't offer the same in passpro, which is what Beck got tonight. It's the #1 fix it for me. The OL

Nico had growing pains. But since the second half of Alabama.....he's playing winning football. The OL and receivers just won't allow it. IMO.

CJH, tonight, showed you he can move the ball with 5-7-9 yard gains in the air, starting behind the LOS and beyond. Only way to stop it - defense starts to jump it or, more likely the receivers drop it. I don't see plan B if they're jumping it. That's on the coaches. They went away from it. Not sure why.

Offense has been off for almost 2 years now. I don't know why.... I'd be speculation. Though the D under performed, they kept it winnable for 3+ quarters. Again, offense didn't capitalize. CJH needs to fix his O.....it's malfunctioning. Starting with the OL. And go from there.

I believe one of Heupel’s greatest flaws is not getting more WRs chances to play. His first year we saw him stop rotating part way through the season. Maybe that was necessary at that time but honestly, I’m sick of seeing all the balls thrown to bru, squirrel, and kissleman. They all have things they can do well. But all 3 have weaknesses. Why do we not see Matthews, or Leacock, or even brazelle more?

Regardless, we weren’t going to beat uga tonight with the dunk and dunk and play field position approach. They proved early they were going to consistently move the ball. We needed to understand we were going to have to score more than has been necessary in recent weeks. But we stuck with that play it safe approach. Especially bad was the punt on 4th and 4 from the 35. That’s just not something I ever thought we’d see out of Heupel.

IMO we shouldn't be this bad on offense in year 4 of Heupel....We are lacking bad in several positions. What's even more discouraging is our defense looked totally lost tonight. Our claim to fame defense this season took a huge step back.

Except Fulmer annihilated UGA for most of his career.
