We need OSU to dominate Indiana, but I’m not sure that will happen. Cignetti is a hell of a coach.Take care of business in the last two games and we can come down a bit. Some underdog will win in the last two weeks of the season. It’s the way this year has gone. Ultimately, don’t lose the game against Arkansas and you’re still in the thick of it though.
If nothing else, OSU will likely beat Indiana by a few scores. So that will help.
Yeah I don’t trust those percentages. You can never predict who will go down on any given week. Someone will lose the last two weeks and it will all sort itself out. I would rather be the first team out at this moment than be in A&M’s position where they are the 3rd team out and are forced to win against Texas just to be considered. That’s a tall task.First team out is the first team in if a few things fall right. Again I think our chances of making playoffs was like 53% with a loss last night.
We are relying on Gators to beat ole miss in the swamp this weekend. 4 SEC teams will get in. Will it be us or ole miss?3 Texas
7 Bama
8 Georgia
9 Ole miss
We are clearly on the outside looking in. The coaches poll was the most favorable for us last week. I’d expect playoff poll to have us at 14-16.
I mean some of this will come down to politics as well. Big Ten gets in four it’s going to be hard; Indiana hasn’t played anyone, if Ohio state embarrasses them it would be more difficult to get them in. Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State are probably going regardless.Yeah I don’t trust those percentages. You can never predict who will go down on any given week. Those top 3 Big Ten teams are pretty much locks with where they are currently ranked, unless they just fall off a cliff. Indiana is the one team they would drop behind all the SEC teams with that SOS. Especially if they lose by multiple scores. You can’t play that soft of a schedule and completely not show up in your one opportunity and expect to get in. Unfortunately, Ohio State has had problems pulling away from some teams so I have a bad feeling that game will be close.I mean some of this will come down to politics as well. Doesn’t really matter because if they win the ACC they will be a top 4 seed, likely number 3. The most intriguing thing is going to be what they decide to do with BYU and Boise State. That was a horrible loss for BYU and they will either be one spot ahead or one spot behind Boise. Boise State is within striking distance to get a first round bye. I’m kind of rooting for it so we can all give the people who put this thing together a double bird salute. The automatic byes are beyond ridiculous. I understand the auto bids for champions but the byes are being gifted to teams that have no business deserving it.We should be above 3-loss (in reality) Miami. Don't really have a problem with it otherwise.
