I for one think the new CFP is great

1. In the past seasons we would not even be talking about us being one of the four teams in the playoffs. I don't think we get in this year but there is a slight chance.
2. A lot more people will have a lot more interest in the next few games. Normally at this time of year most people had lost interest.
3. There are about 15-16 teams that at least have a chance of getting in.
4. There will be a lot fewer "Stars" opting out because there will be twelve teams playing important games and not just four.
5. Every game is important.

It is good for CFB, the old schoolers are just in denial. Wait until it kicks off an the ratings explode. We will be at 16 or even 32 teams before long. Too much $$$ not to go there.

According to ESPN we have a 66% chance. As long as we win these last 2 it’s 83% chance.

Ranked #10 by AP is a massive WIN!

This means nobody in front of us has room for error. We are IN the playoffs if ANYONE has a mis-step, and you know that several will. All we have to do is beat UTEP and Vandy.

Yeah, I think NIL/transfer portal has equalized the playing field, and over a period of time, the playoffs will add to it...which, in reality, quickens the time it takes us to consistently be in "the mix" year in, year out. Bama and UGA aren't stacked 3 deep with 5*'s any more. I like the spread of talent, in lieu of the club of 5-6 teams taking turns at NC mix...Bama, UGA, LSU, OSU, Clemson, Mich, etc, and think JH manages his club/culture in a way that attracts talent. At start of season, I thought it would be a real stretch for us to have a shot at 10-2, yet here we are.

We will probably be first out, with the next ratings. Need TX to beat TaM to take them completely out of the mix, and hate to admit it, but...GO GATORS vs OM! Need OSU to trounce Indiana. And...don't sleepwalk and pull a Butch Jones and have a loss take us out (Vandy)

Should have gone to 16 teams with no conference games.

No doubt it’s awesome. The Bcs was a joke, rewarding Ohio state every year for playing absolutely nobody, and it was win the sec championship or bust for the sec.

Needs to be a 16 team playoff if they're going to reward teams for winning a beauty contest all year playing nobodies. These teams will get their azzes handed too them in the first rounds..

Yeah I’m deflated after the loss to UGA but don’t get the meltdown and doom and gloom.

We are ranked 10th. We are IN if we win out. Very unlikely we will drop out of top 10 with wins

I think first out is the best we could have hoped for after last night. Gave us a solid chance to work back into it by holding serve.
