Based on ESPN's SOS, a whopping 58% of all teams in the Group of 5 conferences have a tougher schedule than Indiana (ranked #106)! That's 36 of 62 teams not deemed worthy of the Big Ten.
Similarly, 30% of all Group of 5 teams have a more difficult schedule than Notre Dame.
The Vols are now on the outside looking in and need help. Are you listening Gators?
Without an Ole Miss loss, our little problem could be solved by Ohio St. soundly whipping Indiana or Notre Dame taking another loss. Neither is likely, but that's why they play the game. There are a few other variables at play and I still like UT's chances to make the cut after two more weeks of play plus the championships.
