I am a UT can they and thru. But born and raised in Indiana and am thrilled for IU and the season they have had. Im on their board and simply stating an objective view sharing that this BAD loss over OSU hurts theirs chances a lot.

One guy said “a one loss IU team getting left out over a two loss UT team is laughable.”

What would your response be? 🤔

I don’t know that the loss today knocked them out but I definitely believe it probably knocked them out of any chance to host a first round game…but who knows- Penn State is in a war right now and could lose a second game.

I think we should be in over IU. But if you come to this board and ask that question, of course that’s the answer you are going to get.

In fact, if you swapped resumes, you’d get the same answer from both boards. Take it to your Badger board and ask them if you want an unbiased look.

Come Tuesday we will both be in. IU could be first team out but I think they will be the 12 seed. Still a lot that could happen to change things one way or the other. We don’t need to do next week what Ole Miss did today. Win and we’re in.

I don’t think it’s either/or.

Wasn’t Ole Ms in on the last playoff standings? If so, doesn’t UT just replace Ole MS?

I mean what site are you on?

But just for some objectivity, it was said on the broadcast today as the BIG10 announcers were crying, that everyone criticizes IU SOS when they face the two teams that were in the national championship last year and @ohio state. It’s not their fault Michigan and Washington have tanked.

Every year it seems there's a Cinderella team getting attention. Few years back it was Cinn and another year it was TCU . This year it's Indiana Former Cinderella teams didn't do well in play offs in recent years

They’re a 10 win team in a Power 5 conference with only a single loss to a top 2 team.

They’re most likely going to be fine at the moment If they lose again next week to 1-win Purdue it’s a completely different story; but as of right now they’re pretty likely to still be in the playoff rankings running with the committee next week.

Honestly at this point, both teams are probably in at the moment.

You don't get credit for beating terrible football teams. TN doesn't get any credit beating Oklahoma in Norman, beating NC State on a neutral field. Beating Florida who just beat Ole Miss, no style points for that either. IU is a nothing and has always been a nothing, they are only winning because their schedule was terrible.

Exactly. There's always 1 team in the playoffs who hasn't really played anyone and skated by all season beating bad teams, and then they get in the playoffs and get smoked. IU is that team this year, the result you saw today will just happen again if they make it in. They should be out. Stop rewarding playing a cakewalk of a schedule.

No reason whatsoever for that to happen unless the Vols lose next week.
First team Indiana has played with a pulse all year and they got rolled.
