Got A Question About Getting To Atlanta

Screw that mentality. Go for redemption over UGA and a first round bye.

As much as I hate to say it-if we're gonna have to take down Goliath, I want it to be for all the marbles

Just don't think we can take them down twice in a month and if we advance in the playoffs we would see them again

We need Alabama to be in the Tie for us to finish 2nd. If we are in a 3 way tie with Texas and UGA, UGA wins having gone 2-0.

Here is the scenario with Auburn winning today but A&M winning next week.

1. Texas A&M (6 - 2)
Above Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas based on conference opponent win percentage (0.4844).
2. Georgia (6 - 2)
With Tennessee and Texas, below Texas A&M based on conference opponent win percentage (0.4531).
Above Tennessee and Texas based on round-robin record due to a round-robin sweep (2-0).
3. Texas (6 - 2)
With Georgia and Tennessee, below Texas A&M based on conference opponent win percentage (0.4063).
With Tennessee, below Georgia based on round-robin record due to a round-robin sweep (0-1).
Above Tennessee based on record vs common conference opponents all played one time (6-1).
4. Tennessee (6 - 2)
With Georgia and Texas, below Texas A&M based on conference opponent win percentage (0.3906).
With Texas, below Georgia based on round-robin record due to a round-robin sweep (0-1).
Below Texas based on record vs common conference opponents all played one time (5-2).

If Texas wins then we lose to UGA on head to head. 3rd's highest we can finish now.

We wouldn't technically be 4th, we'd still be tied for 1st, the tie breaker only decides who plays in the SECCG.

The first round bye means nothing. In order to get it, you have to play a game while everyone else is off. So you get a bye, but all the others get a "bye" while you play in Atlanta.

Skip Atlanta and win 4 games!

Did you enjoy winning the SEC in men's basketball but not making the final 4 or would have rather made the final 4 and finished 2nd in the SEC?
