With Ole Miss and Indiana losing, and Tennessee having the equivalent of a bye week (they're cruising past UTEP 56-0 as I write this), Tennessee (9-2) will almost certainly move up in the CFP rankings. Last week UT was the "last team out"; next Tuesday you should see them in the bracket. It will be up to Vandy to spoil everything for them.

The defeat in the Swamp was a crusher today for Ole Miss. Jackson Dart played the worst game I've seen him play, and they're toast.

Some other teams could yet lose today too. UT can sit back this evening and watch the mayhem.

Re: Tennessee's CFP chances just got a lot better

I don’t know why all these rabid UT social media jokers are on my X feeds, I don’t follow any of them, but every time they comment they appear on my X.

I try to argue with them every so often but it’s like arguing with a brick wall.

One of them is Wes Rucker. He has the most ridiculous illogical pro-UT posts on X.

His logic: UT has played a lot tougher schedule than Indiana and Indiana shouldn’t be included in the CFP. You can’t blame UT for N.C. State and Oklahoma being bad. Indiana hasn’t played anybody.

Actually Indiana played both of the teams that were in the NC game last year, Washington and Michigan. Indiana also played UCLA, traditionally a top 25 team. You can’t blame Indiana that Michigan, Washington and UCLA were bad, but Wes only says this about UT’s opponents.

This is the sentiment of all UT fans. Totally illogical.

UT’s nonconference schedule has been a joke compared to Indiana’s nonconference schedule.

Just posting some of these vile comments from them down the page. Glad they beat Bama, but now, it’s personal for our team, coaches, and fans.

uut played Chattanooga (1aa) plus two of the worst D-1 teams ever: Kent St. and Utep

I saw a projection that if we don't knock the viles out of the CFP, their game will be at Penn St. and coach poach knew how to beat them.

Usually don't pull for Pedophile State and coach poach but would make an exception if it ends up with that game.

More Vandy comments:

"LSU offense scared me more than Tennessee. All the pressure is on the vols this weekend"

"I don’t think they’re gonna light us up on offense… but unless Beck has some tricks up his sleeve he’s been saving, I just don’t see how we’re gonna score enough to win. I think the outcome might be kinda similar to last night, but it’s gonna be 200 yards rushing for UT instead of 300 yards passing."

A win Saturday - preventing the Vols from a playoff berth - would be the greatest Vandy athletic accomplishment of all time. Yes, topping the baseball championships and the women’s bowling title.

Lol Vandy fans talking about Indiana.. IU has one win against a team with a winning record and got destroyed by a real team.
Yea, but as the brainy Vanderbilt lad pointed out, two of those teams with losing records were good last year so Indiana‘s schedule is really harder than it looks…😂😂😂

If Tex A&M doesn't win the SEC Championship and they don't take 2 from the ACC, then a 3 lost SEC will get in. It would likely need the ACC to not have Miami vs SMU with both 11-1 in their Championship game.

If Tenn beats Vandy they are in, and may be a host team.
