I was at the game in 22. It was ridiculous the music/noise the were playing over their speakers. I could hear it on the tv today. I wonder if they do that to everyone or just us?

I know several season ticket holders at Vandy and they all said the music is louder and more obnoxious when Tennessee is playing there.

Yes. They played those loud speakers every chance they could. And blew that horn on every third down. Even when D. Samp and Squirrel were hurt on the field. I was on the same side of the band and never heard them.

I was there. At one point after one TD they started playing music and literally stopped it after playing it maybe 2 seconds. It was dead silence for maybe 3 mins and we hadn’t played Rocky Top yet. I even made the comment that it was weird we didn’t play Rocky Top….we started playing it and literally the music came on. 100% our band was waiting for them to play music and they was waiting on us to play Rocky Top.

I have been to every Vanderbilt home game this year. It was by far more often and much louder than any other game. That being said, the POTS travel band is bigger than Vanderbilt’s band

Eh. So our band played when we were on defense. They did NOT blast the music, that may have bothered their offense (rolleyes).

They did not hesitate to blast it when we were on offense (grrrr). No doubt it contributed to some of the false starts. Their crowed was vastly outnumbered and by no means could they have made any significant amount of noise. So ya! It SUCKED!!!!

They played nothing during our Alma mater song. As soon as Rocky Top began, the music blared.

That stadium is too crappy to see anything along the sidelines. Part of the field is even out of view from the 50 yard line. Tall drop off, coupled with not very steep stadium.

I did not see fighting, but when our safety call stood, I shouted “home cooking!” and some Vandy people picked up their things and walked out. They knew they were outnumbered.
