SEC Roll Call

I think SEC shorts has a higher ceiling but lower floor. Roll Call tends to be a solid B while SEC Shorts is anywhere from a C to and A and maybe D occasionally.
Definitely.

Roll Call is consistent because it relies mostly on the each week’s quirks. Matt gives each school a unique personality and then uses it to react to odd events about the week’s matchup, couple with continuity from the previous week. It’s like watching a tv series.

Shorts relies on tying everything that happened to a prop. Sometimes it only works for one team for the week. I think where Shorts is really hit or miss is how no team has a consistent characterization. Save for Vandy Pimp, which was great until they stopped winning.

Yeah Matt really captures the personalities of each team pretty well. Suspect he gets on volnation for some Tennessee material

This pretty much nails it. The best of SEC Roll Call isn't even in the same league as the best of SEC Shorts, but Roll Call is always worth a chuckle. Sometimes SEC shorts isn't even close to a chuckle.
