Lang made five appearances this season but hadn’t played much due to a hand/wrist injury. He had 44 snaps at center with 17 against Chattanooga and 27 against Kent State. Played some snaps at guard.

This one concerns me - Lang should be OLC 2 behind Cooper, so should have seen a ton of playing time next year.
Concerned what the options are behind Mays now - how much time has Satterwhite seen?.

Not expected to be the starter next year. Was passed by Satterwhite. We also have Nic Moore coming in as another 4 star who projects as a future center.

Entering now would allow you to go through spring practice wherever you are going and better chance to start in the fall

Actually, Satterwhite was expected to to be Mays replacement. Reports were positive on Lang in the spring of 2023, but there hasn't been any buzz about him since.

Hurts depth but every program with the portal now has no depth. Really now need Satterwhite to stay healthy or we are in trouble.

I read this is as a sign that either:

1. Satterwhite has separated himself in the competition.
2. The staff has informed Lang that we intend on using the portal to replace Mays.

I lean toward #2 since Satterwhite is a true freshman with 0 reps. If he were as good as we all hope he is and if the coaches see him as Mays' replacement, it seems like the coaches would have given him some developmental reps in blowouts this season.

It has been widely reported that Satterwhite passed him on the depth chart some time ago, so this isn’t much of a surprise. Some of y’all might want to make sure you’re informed before you start panicking.
