It looks to me there are a couple of scenarios we could see that are most likely.
So let’s play would you rather.
Scenario 1- If Oregon wins- we mostly likely will end up playing at Penn State with a very slight chance of hosting if they are blown out and then round 2 against Oregon neutral.
Scenario 2- If Penn State wins- Penn and Oregon potentially just swap spots and then we have at Ohio State and then against Penn State.
Don’t ask me what happens if Georgia loses- could we move up and host against Arizona state or something ? Feel free to speculate on that one.
Given the 2 scenarios listed though I actually will take scenario 1. I think getting through round 1 is the most important thing and I think at Penn State we have a solid chance to win. Also against Oregon we get a chance to “shock the world” against the number 1 team and we match up pretty well.. teams that run the ball have had success against their 22nd rank running defense (Boise’s back had 197 yards rushing, Wisconsins back had 100- both games they only won by 3)
At Ohio state seems lame- they have a built in narrative about the team not being together if we were to pull it out.. but they have a ton of talent on both sides and would be a tough matchup.
What do yall prefer if you could play it out? It’s go Ducks this weekend for me.
