So I was on it utsports.com seeing who can come back next year and I see it has Thornton with two years of eligibility remaining (one including this year) but I’m completely confused because he never redshirted and played above the subsequent games for any injury redshirt from 2021-2024 and utsports has updated their eligibility for guys like Eason, Mays, etc

so is this just an error on the website or am I missing something?

I could be wrong about this, but since he started playing in 2021, he's not eligible for the COVID year. So that means he's done after the season is over (4 years eligibility exhausted).

I assume that's a typo or editing oversight.

I doubt he would stay even if he had a year left. He is going to get drafted somewhere.

Maybe they were confusing his situation with that of Brazzell?

He will likely get drafted in the mid-late rounds. He's been fairly productive and leads the nation in yards per reception at a ridiculous 25.9. He also has elite measurements. He will show out at the NFL combine if he is healthy.

Agreed. He has great size and speed. He will run a very good 40 time I'd imagine.
