After watching the CFP crap show last night, it was obvious what was happening. The NCAA obviously has put pressure on this committee to at all costs of other deserving teams to leave BAMA in this shift show. Also is about Ohio St as well. Without these two teams in the CFP, they will lose a lot of money on TV revenue!! PERIOD!!!. To not drop OH ST in the rankings and leaving BAMA in the playoffs show me that this is all about money. If BAMA had 4 losses, there would still be a conversation on how to keep them in the playoffs.

Alabama football is like Duke basketball . Committees in the NCAA for years has overrated Duke and made sure they play in the state of North Carolina as much as possible. If Alabama were to get in, they will somehow have them play all their games at neutral sites, like Birmingham, Mobile, South Tuscaloosa, etc.

As long as brand is factored in, it should be illegal to sell these playoffs as fair or equal opportunity. The college football playoffs should have to read a disclaimer before every broadcast that participants may receive preferential treatment.

Brand is THE only reason Ohio State is hosting a game.

The college football playoff committee and its consequences have been a disaster for humanity.

Either go back to NY6 bowls with only one championship with the two top teams or go to the NFL lite system where mathematically you are in or not with reformed conferences and divisions. No more of this beauty contest and charity auto bids for specific brands.

It’s hilarious that people think there is a conspiracy to put Bama in but also say Bama would destroy every non-SEC team. It’s one or the other, can’t be both.

I don’t think a team that lost to Vanderbilt and a bad OU team should be in. I also don’t think they will win a playoff game. South Carolina is playing like the 4th best SEC team right now, but they lost to Bama and Ole Miss. Ole Miss impresses me more than Bama. Miami I think deserves it more than Bama. Should be one of those 3.

If Miami had any decent wins this would not be an issue. They also nearly lost several other games, The committee seems to be consistent in that "who have you beaten?" is a big factor.

What did we do? I forgot, we beat Alabama, which this thread has already established as a team that does not deserve to be ranked in the top 12.
Bama lost 2 games to unranked teams one was just a few weeks ago and did not score a TD in that game . So yeah they do not deserve to be in .

The NCAA has zero control over the CFP or the selection committee.

You may not realize it but the SEC and B1G are running the show. What they want, they get, all while putting up a smoke screen of the selection committee actually being fair.

Did you know that the SEC and B1G are getting a bigger cut of the CFP money than the ACC, Big12 and others? They are running the show, everyone else has to take what they are given.

This year and next are only a trial run of the expanded playoff. The next iteration will likely have more guarantees for the SEC/B1G.

Do both of them get the benefit of the doubt? sure. Does bama deserve to be in the 12 spot over ole miss/miama/sc?...yes. i don't like them in but take off the orange glasses and they deserve it more than the others.

The reason we have the terrible format we have is because the B10 and SEC gave in to the demands of the other conferences for the byes and auto bids.

Sankey made deals to get a terribly flawed bracket system.

LOL.....you can believe your own BS if you want. To say NCAA has no say over CFP committee is laughable, and everyone else knows it!! Everyone on the CFP committee is a MEMBER OF THE NCAA.
