Like all yall, am upset that we are not projected to host despite how the last games went. OSU should be coming to us, not the other way around. But by the same token, the Vols are a LOCK for the playoffs, and have a clear path to a natty. This is wonderful no matter how you cut it.

However, I am absolutely salty that a team that lost to Vandy and was embarrassed by a bad Oklahoma team is still considered a playoff team, purely because of their logo. We share those opponents, imagine how quickly Tennessee would fall off the playoff map if we had those outcomes.

So, my question: what needs to happen this weekend to kick the gumps out of the playoffs? I care about this almost as much as Tennessee getting to host. If they deserve it then fair enough. This year, they simply do not deserve a spot.

Clemson winning should do it.

Of course they could bump SMU out but there goes the whole not punishing a championship team.
Win or lose this weekend, I got no issues with SMU staying in. Say what you will about the ACC, but they waltzed into the conference and steam rolled the whole eastern seaboard. Personally, I think they should have chased down the B12, but that's not on my plate.

This. Clemson beats SMU. SMU replaces Bama as the last at large.

Also add in PSU getting torched by Oregano and Tejas roughing up UGAly by 2-3 scores and maybe, just maybe, the Vols get to host.

Problem solved.

They don t deserve it any less than Miami though. That is the problem. The committee has stated they value good wins, Miami has none. And their 2 losses are just as bad without a win over top 5 UGA. If anybody had sucked less Bama would not be in.
Bama is 3 -1 against teams currently in the top 25. Miami has no wins over any team in the top 25. Both teams have 2 losses to teams outside the top 25.

The committee said they wouldn’t punish the losers of conf title games. Of course Clemson would be out if they lose to SMU.

But the rhetoric began last nt and today that Bama has a 60-40 shot leapfrogging SMU if Clemson wins. That would contradict the committee’s statement but they will just change the narrative. At this point, I’m over it!

I can’t control it and it’s all Bill 💩- 🤦. The committee will make its case for Bama regardless and they will be in.

Miami is out. The question is if Clemson wins, will SMU get in over Bama?

The way the committee talked last night hinted that a team losing in their champ game won’t knock them out if they are currently ranked in the top 12. So in theory, Clemson beats SMU and that knocks Bama out since SMU can’t be dropped out. But the committee has changed what they care about just about every week. So I expect them to not do that and kick SMU all the way out so Bama can stay in

If Bama was that good, they should’ve went undefeated. If you can beat Georgia you can beat Vandy and Oklahoma and EARN your way in.

That makes no sense. We are not taking about them being undefeated are we? Which team do you feel has "Earned" the last spot more? Miami could not beat Syracuse or GaTech. Ole Miss lost to Kentucky at home. South Carolina got beat by both Ole Miss and Alabama.

Oregon roasting psu and uga getting blasted by tex would probably guarantee bama is in.

All of these scenarios are totally realistic. PSU is a sham. And Carson Beck is a liability. Kirby prob foaming at the mouth at home at night waiting on the Beck run to end.

Let Bama in.
Gives us another potential opportunity to beat them. We ever beat Bama twice in one year??? Would be f***ing awesome.
Stop being scared little babies.

It makes alot of sense. If you can beat UGA you can beat those teams. It’s all about consistency, the undefeated thing was just an exaggeration, but I think most know what I meant.

Well…that would strengthen South Carolina strength of schedule 🤔. And depending on how bad Clemson beats them…

it maybe be enough to drop SMU and put the Gamecocks IN!

The perfect scenario is Clemson winning in a 10 OT game. How could they punish SMU for that?

Not happening..The committee already said that. Best case is Clemson wins by 2 in 10 OT's
