previews of the game, especially from Buckeye folks covering the team, that favor Tenn. And yes, there are a bunch of matchups that favor OSU as well.
-Their kicker was/has been so bad that it sounded like Ryan Day wasn't willing to commit to their normal starter being the guy to kick tomorrow. If this is a low scoring game that is a massive advantage to Tenn, potentially.
-I can't remember the rankings but OSU isn't very good in 3rd down offense, where Tenn 3rd down defense is one of the best.
-PFF has OSU's safeties graded #1 in the country while the CBs are 98th. And apparently 1 of the corners has a problem with PIs.
-Which brings me to penalties in general...
Ive heard the ACC is officiating? Big10 has a lot less penalties thrown from the small research I have done compared to the SEC being a heavily penalized conference. The ACC is similar to the SEC. Could OSU be thrown off their game/get frustrated if a few more flags go against them? Tenn will be used to it LOL.
-Cole Cubelic says the edges for OSU are inconsistent and he's higher on the DTs to cause problems. He also said he didn't see it as OSU trying to play Michigan's game like everyone says, but that the runs were there - they just couldn't run.
-Since week 7 their OL has the SEVENTH WORST PFF grade in the power 4. That's crazy.
-Buckeye reporters (who podcast like Volquest etc) are basically conceding the run game and that Howard will have to throw to win.
-2 OL that Ryan Day talked a lot about in shuffling around would be making their 1st career starts.

They keep comparing the stats but it an apples and oranges comparison. If OSU played 8 SEC opponents they would not be in the playoffs. If coach turns Nico loose to run when necessary we will win easily. The nuts will have trouble scoring TDs against the Vols.
