I think the style of play has some debating whether or not we can extrapolate this to SEC Play. I do think its important to compare what we are doing against our opponents as compared to what other teams are.

To that extent I wanted to share some stats: I looked at 3 metrics to see how we are doing versus other opponents of the teams we have played this year in points for, against, and TOs forced. Arguably the most important tenants.

Here are the games where we have done the best of any opponent against the teams each of our opponents have faced as the season nears its halfway point:

We have the most points scored of any of our opponent's opponents in 5 games:

MTSU 89 (Next Closest Iowa State vs 75)
Liberty 109 (Next Closest Duke vs 83)
NCCU 139 (Next Closest LSU vs 131)
Richmond 92 (Next Closest Columbia vs 76)
Tulsa 102 (Next Closest Creighton vs 81)

We have forced the most Turnovers of any of our opponent's opponents in 6 games:
Samford 38 (26)
UT Martin 31 (28)
MTSU 22 (18)
WCU 37 (24)
Iowa 30 (22)
NCCU 44 (33)

Despite our frenetic style which speeds up the game leading to higher scores, we have also held 2 opponents to their lowest outputs of the season:
Samford 53 (Next closest 59 vs Vandy)
WCU 50 (Next Closest 55 vs Radford)
*Notable that Iowa scored only 68 on us, Mich St held to 66 as their season low)

This is far from a guarantee that the style will translate to SEC Play but one big think that this highlights is we aren't just beating teams badly, we are crushing them in ways other (even ranked) teams aren't. Beating them by 15-20 more than the next best team, forcing 5-10 more TOs than the next best team. And even areas where our style disadvantages us, we are excelling as well.

In only 2 games (Memphis and FSU) have we not performed significantly better than other opponents of those teams. To excel comparitively in 90% of occasions really says something:

WE HAVE A COACH
