Congrats on a good season. Thank you seniors. OSU was just better. More talent. Home game at night. We got out coached and out played.

So where do we go from here? If you are in charge what are the next steps this offseason?

My take:

1) have to get a better O coord and O line coach. Elite teams have former pro coaches and head coaches as their coordinators

2) have to get an elite WR. No one on this roster is that dude.

3) LB’s, safety and Off tackles are liabilities. They just are. They aren’t top end starters.

4) have to evaluate our offense scheme. We need more pre snap motion, creativity, etc

5) need to spend top 5 in NIL ( I have no idea where we rank in this)

The reality is that we lose A LOT of experienced players that contributed a lot next year. And while we might want to make ourselves feel better about having a top 10 recruiting class, Heupel hasn't actually recruited better that middle of the SEC, that includes transfers...

I'm appreciative of how he got us out of the situation we were in and he's a good coach... but I don't know if he's a great coach and the guy that's going to bring us championships...

The question is... how long are we willing to wait to find out?

It will take a year or 2.

Good points I guess but you are really not giving Heupel enough credit. How do you talk about getting rid of a coach when, under scholarship and recruiting limitations, has went 11-2, 9-4, 10-3, won a NY6 bowl, beat Clemson, made the playoffs and has gone 16-8 in conference play over 3 years?? What kind of elite coach is gonna come here if you get rid of Heupel after that?

Continue winning 10 gamed and getting into the playoffs.
I'll worry about Heupel as "the guy" later. I'm enjoying being a decent team again.

We take a significant step back next season unless we have some serious portal acquisitions that surprise in a bug way. This roster and this staff are questionable at best. 7 or 8 wins next season?

We most likely go anywhere from 8-4 to 10-2 here.

CJH is a good coach. Will he win a Sec championship. Probably not.

According to some posters, where we go is:

Write apologies.

Fire coaches.

Defund spyre.

Replace Nico.

Stop going to games.

It's going to take an all out miracle to win a national title in football at this school again it's to the point it's not worth fooling with anymore. It's such a waste of time and energy anymore.
