We beat elite teams but they are coincidentally not elite when we do it.
No we have not beat elite teams , take off your SEC conference koolaid goggles. Elite teams are elite in every aspect of their team. Name of team don’t make them elite . OSU, GA, Texas and Oregon right now are the elite. And we are waaaay below them . Every time we play Georgia should tell you just how elite we are. Not playing a Alabama that is no longer elite, Florida not elite , Ark not elite, Miss State not elite etc etc etc

When we beat Clemson in the Orange Bowl they weren't elite and frankly aren't elite anymore. They are back to their pre watson/TL era of being pretty good but not elite.

Indiana didn't beat an Alabama either so I think we're better than that. We also have 3 years of proof showing we're more like PSU than a one year wonder like Indiana so far.
Alabama lost to Vandy, Alabama is no longer elite, their back to just a name . You want to be elite now you have to spend lots of money across the board.

LOL, I'm sure Josh Heupel's agent would love that, too. "You want to ... reopen the books and renegotiate? $URE!" :D
I'm not even sure he has anything in his contract that allows him to necessarily lose road games with no consequences. His contract bonuses are based on performance. He picked up 200, 000 k for just making to the first round of the CFP's.
He makes money for things like finishing in the top 5/ 10/ 25 in rankings.
It's in his financial benefit to win a big road game.
Maybe we throw in an extra 100 K or so next year for a top 25 road win.
