21 Point Face Mask Penalty

Such a shame that an inadvertent face mask penalty on Ohio States first drive wound up costing us 21 immediate points, and probably the ball game. We had them stopped on their first drive (which is what CJH and team pray about) and well, this is a "what if" the hand didn't connect with the face mask question? Momentum means a lot in sports and my gut says that while the eventual outcome might have been the same, the game could have been (much) closer.

Proud of this team and the coaches for another 10 Win Season. Now we have to work on getting considerably better for next Fall because you can bet that Bama, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma and the rest of our opponents will be improving their rosters and coaching staffs.

OK fired their OC mid season. Heupel ain’t firing anybody.

That’s total BS . It’s 1st quarter and basically a whole game left to play.

If you let 1 bad play cost you 21 points and probably the game,, then you’re a weak , fragile a$$ team.

Move on, buck up and make some stops!

Big penalty but if that one play makes you go that bad, then you were going to lose probably anyway.

Very true, sometimes the bounces (or calls) go your way, sometimes they don't. Same thing happened against Georgia, they fumbled 3 times (two of which were ruled to be not fumbles) and we came up with none of them.

The lack of discipline from the Vols, especially on the road has been maddening!! Ugh, the Buckeye smoked us but stuff like that didn’t help.

The pass to Bell was definitely a forward pass and I thought those calls were fair. UGA was just fortunate to fall on that one but won’t be so lucky every time.

Regardless, Georgia and Florida suck!! And Texas fans are already some of the worst in the conference. Hopefully they lose so we don’t have to hear about how they’re the greatest ever.

Agreed. The sack standing would have meant alot for momentum.

Sorry. That penalty wasn't going to change the outcome in this one. We were completely outclassed by that roster.
