Seen some good insight on the gameday experience from yall

But I was wondering, would we have won the game if it were played at Neyland instead of Columbus?

More favorable climate and crowd could've tipped the scales in our favor?

Or were there enough Big Orange fans there that having a bit more than 40% of the crowd wouldn't have made much difference?

Our crowd would have helped us. I don’t believe their environment was a factor or the reason we played uninspired. Weather was not what it was made out to be and the weather works both ways.

I think the game may have been a little closer due to Neyland. However, I don’t think the weather or their crowd was a factor. While cold it was not miserable and their stadium wasn’t any louder than a normal SEC stadium. After seeing it in person I feel like they are just better than us. We didn’t play our best which made it lopsided but at the end of the day they are the better team

I agree with all the above, not that I was there.

And not making excuses, but I do have a question: what's up with big strobe lights pulsing at low levels in the end zone we were driving towards? I don't remember seeing that at other stadiums. 🤔

I was there.
The weather was a non factor.
Their stadium was a non factor (my cousin told me Arkansas was louder). I place their stadium at the bottom of the SEC in terms of home field advantage.
If the only difference last night were it to be at Neyland, we still lose. Maybe only by 14 but still not close. They outmatched us everywhere. That game was over at triple zeros after the first quarter.

No. Would’ve been closer. We simply do not have the personnel to cover all their weapons.

I mean if they’re in Neyland maybe you get some false starts on them. Maybe a possession or two ends in a punt that wouldn’t have in Ohio. Still doesn’t fix the fact we don’t have the players to cover all their weapons. Kelly did a good job but he had a lot to work with and when you’re a good OC with NFL skill positions all over it’s a hard damn day for the other guy.

Agree with these comments. Being there it was clear OSU was just better that game. The Shoe was a huge disappointment. Being an SEC team three at night, guess I expected more from a hostile/loud environment and it was none of that. Could easily talk to my friends early in the game like we were sitting at home watching on TV.
