Per 247sports. Tennessee is ranked 17 for 2024. Could view it this way: from a talent gap perspective, the Vols went 3-2 this year.

On the season:

Wins
-> Alabama (1)
-> Oklahoma (7)
-> Florida (12)
-------------------
-> Kentucky (24)
-> Mississippi State (34)
-> NC State (40)
-> Vanderbilt (50)
-> UTEP (121)
-> Kent State (125)

Losses
-> Georgia (2)
-> Ohio State (3)
-------------------
-> Arkansas (26)

CJH is developing players and doing more with less. Definitely going to have to figure out how to close the talent gap if they don't want what happened on Saturday to repeat.

If you play long enough it will happen again. Not the first time we got hammered while fielding a rather accomplished team and roster of names.
