coaches deserve for having it their way for far too long? Sure seems that way to me. Unfortunately, it’s fans—as usual—that are caught in the middle watching the circus unfold.

As far as TN goes, I’m concerned for the first time in the Heupel era that he’s not quite sure what to do to maneuver the waters. Hope I’m wrong.

What in the hell gives you the idea he doesn't know what to do? I mean actual evidence not some "i believe" speculation.

I totally agree, coaches and the NCAA had absolute power for so long. They chose to abuse their power instead of doing right by student athletes that’s exactly how we got here

Coach Heupel goes for 10 wins for the second time in 4 years. VN posters: “Heupel just doesn’t know what to do”

It’s like you all are addicted to drama.
10 wins in a pretty favorable schedule and still dropped to a 6-6 Arkansas team and got embarrassed by teams that know how to recruit and manage talent.

And let's be real, we aren't complaining about the portal in basketball and baseball because Barnes and Tony V know how to manage the talent and don't have dead weight coaches like Kelsey Pope, willie Martinez and Glen Ellarbee around them.

What is your deal? I guess this season doesn’t count.

I bet you don’t even give a **** we beat Florida and Bama. What a loser mentality.
A 6-6 Florida and a 3 loss Alabama at home is not the achievement it used to be. If we would have been competitive in either UGA or OSU games It would be fine but both of those games were embarrassing and I was at the latter. I wasted 100s of dollars right before Christmas to go watch this team look like south Doyle high School. So yeah, it's not good enough and the fact that Kelsey Pope, Glen ellarbee, and Willie Martinez still has jobs baffles me and makes me doubt huepel.

Edit: I'd say the loser mentality is "beating a bad Florida and mid bama team is good enough."

10-2 and an early playoff exit is mark Richt.

It’s such a caveman mentality where people are unable to think about anything except the last thing they saw and are clueless about context. These are the people that win games and then shout “O-ver-rated”.

Bama doesn’t know how to recruit or manage talent? Florida? Both teams have more talent than us LOL.

The other problem: all three coaches you named have had players drafted, including a first rounder. Not arguing they are great coaches because those were not players they recruited, but it still counts when they had them for a year or two under their belts.

Nothing easier in sports fandom than to be a coach killer.

VN posters: wins against more talented teams do not matter. Only our losses to less talented teams count, along with losses to other more talented teams.

Y’all need a new sport because y’all a bunch of whiners. Literally no negative fan would be missed. You only post here because your wives and friends don’t want to hear your depressing scenarios about how winning 10 games doesn’t matter and that Coach Heupel sucks.

We don't know yet if modern bama knows how to manage and develop talent at this level. Their coach came from the West Coast and has never had the level of competition he does now.

Florida under bully Napier hasn't shown to this point they do know how to develop and manage talent. 6-6 record this year shows it. Lagway is good though so we probably will be embarrassed by them in the swamp again next year.

Josh heupel has had 4 years under his belt now and we are still middle of the pack SEC in recruiting. His record got worse every year at UCF. while it got better this year, that's because Rodney garners defensive line kept us in games that Josh huepel's solved offense couldn't. There are patterns to be recognized and not many of them are good right now.

It’s going to get worse for fan expectations because all the player movement is going to cause parity which is going to mean it’s a lot harder to maintain elite status. Really good teams might lose 2 or 3 times and we’re going to see more teams come out of nowhere to win 9+ because rosters that used to take 2-3 years to fix can now find quick bandaids. (See Tennessee in 2021-2022). We’ll also see a team or two have tough offseasons and become FSU.

I've been pretty positive on huepel mostly. I've been pretty positive on the team mostly but it's clear there are glaring issues that huepel is refusing to fix. It's a lot easier to just pretend like there's nothing wrong until we lose to Florida, bama, UGA, and another we aren't supposed to drop next year

Actual proof that those coaches are dead weight? Not some "I believe" speculation and certainly not some I have read so many damn posts on here saying the same thing.

Was our secondary not the most improved unit this year? We played the team with the most talented roster ever paid for.

Do you think Karl Malobe feels embarrassed cause he lost to MJ twice? NOPE because he lost to arguably the best team ever.

OSU, UGA, Penn State, and Oregon seem to be doing pretty good for themselves.

My son has got me watching Josh Pate, & he's aligned with my thoughts on CF: NIL, transfer portal, conference expansion, etc. have gotten out of hand & the decision makers (whoever they are) have about ruined it. I've become more & more cynical & pessimistic about the "sport". Sad times.
Greed is a powerful seductress.

Proof he is refusing to fix these "issues"? What exactly are these issues? Easy to make such a broad statement when you don't have to back it up with actual true information.

Maybe you are in the building and meeting rooms and actually know because of you are not, then you are just talking out of your ass.
