Yeah I’m cool with 24. It had drama, intrigue, and the will to win. Even with all the transfer drama I love it bc it’s entertaining. Plus we ain’t the only ones havin to deal with it.

I do wanna see huepal with a quicker sense of urgency tho. But who’s to say he’s not?

It was a good season but how are we defining "success"? What was the goal the program set out to achieve this year?

Would Heupel say this was a successful year? Did he achieve anything he had not already achieved at Tennessee? Did the program grow or stagnate or regress? Serious questions. What would Heupel say about this year?

Of course the blowout hurt but I would rather we lose in the playoffs than win a meaningless bowl outside of them any day.

No mater what happens with Alabama vs Michigan tomorrow, you can bet every dollar that the bubbas would have traded with us in a moment. Ol Piss and the Cocks too.

You cannot win if you are not IN.

Regular season? For the most part yes. From the day Lagonza Hayward flipped to now it kind of feels like a lot of the ground gained and momentum built over the last 4 years has been lost though

Finished with 10 wins, beat Bama and Florida, went on the road to Norman and gave Oklahoma a loss at night in their first-ever SEC game. And we made the playoff. We over-achieved when you consider the talent, injuries and youth at key positions (most notably QB).

Of course we wanted more, but I'll take a season like this every year and hope that, if the breaks go our way, we can eventually parlay it into something bigger.

It is very tempting to just look at the win total and say the season was an overwhelming success.

Honestly though, outside of the OOC games and maybe Miss St-were you ever comfortable with a game? Every week was a battle. We seemed to always play one half-either the first half or the second half.

I'm not sure we ever saw a complete game out of the 2024 Vols. Offense was anemic at times-and that's putting it kindly. Issues after bye weeks. Honestly, a cushy schedule saved us this season.

Don't get me wrong, it was a good season. Just think that most of the games were sloppy-and that is not really what you want to see with a team with so many upperclassmen.

Overall a success because I believe CJH is still rebuilding. That said, what does rebuilding even mean anymore?

Definitely exceeded my expectation of 8-4, despite the pitiful ending.
