I said the same thing when I saw it. Only on Tennessee is it a foul. I've never seen it called before or after and will probably never see it again until it is called on us next year.

I had the same initial reaction "you can push but not pull" before I actually watched the clip. That was pulling all the way. And they got away with it.

Yeah, I didn't see the actual game, because I still can't watch football after our last game. Still in shock. I'll be recovered by spring.

But from games before ours, like Texas-Clemson, I was with you making petty comments about how that would be a penalty against us. They weren't often enforcing "hand contact" to the QB helmet, or whether a player was in the neutral zone, or whether they were on the line of scrimmage (for illegal formation/ineligible receiver). But then I remembered most of those games were not using SEC refs, so there might be differences in style. But somehow, those would have been called against us, anyway.

Depends on who the team is. If it's Tennessee it is illegal

It's not legal. You can assist by pushing, but you can't outright pull the runner into the endzone. Or by body slam.

Same except I was watching with some friends and everyone said I was wrong because it wasn’t called and the commentators didn’t say it was a penalty. I said clearly they don’t know the rules, which was met with sure the guys who watch and discuss football for a living know less than you. Apparently.
