Jared Verse got in over Young. Their stats are very similar with Young winning out in sacks by 2.5 I guess Verse getting 2 fumble recoveries was the reason?

No. Young is a good player. Verse is a much better player.

Verse is a Top 10 (per PFF) in pass rush, pressures, run defense, and overall grade for edge defenders.

Young is significantly behind Verse in all those....

Love BY, but he's going to be a 10-12 year vet that travels to a few teams and gets you 7 or 8 sacks a year. Could he have one or two freak years sure, but I agree Verse is the better of the two.

Thanks I dont have a PFF account. I had followed a few games this year and I guess I got the good games for Byron. I basically watched al the games where the yfaced off with other teams featuring VFL's (SFx2, Min, Mia, Det) just so happens that Verse only really looked good in the Miami and Min games (of the 5 I watched) but he did look very good in those. The Rams defensive line is gonna be a huge problem for the NFL for the foreseeable future.

Verse has better measurables and is going to be a really good (A to A+) DL in the NFL...Young is a bit stockier, has a great motor, but Verse's frame is ridiculous. Young is awesome (B+) lineman...Verse will be next level. Young is really fast, but I think Verse's strength and versatility makes him a better end.

He may be the second best DE on the Rams, but It is still a lot better than working at the Dollar Store. He has a great story and will be able to own a few stores before it’s over. I am sure being a Cadet at Georgia Military College taught him a lot about life, perseverance and performance at the highest levels. I wish every HS graduate had to serve in a military role similar to Israel’s system. We would have a lot less problems with entitlement and victimization syndrome as we suffer now. We have raised a couple of generations of kitty kats. I’m glad Young is a VFL.

No I did not serve, but looking like I may have 2 or 3 kids to enlist. Watched oldest daughter enlist in Army last month, middle daughter has always said she is going to be a Marine. Son will likely enlist Air Force or Army. Proud of all of them for desire to serve. Dad and Uncle both served.
