I think it could be a great move. Dude was co-OC with Golesh at UCF and could help Halzle .. also coach WRs

Under Tucker’s guidance, Utah State’s offense set six school records during the 2021 campaign, including 41 touchdown passes, 4,248 passing yards and three receivers with 10-plus touchdown receptions. USU’s offense also tied a pair of school records with 13 100-yard receiving games and five passing touchdowns in a single game.

Why is he no longer at UCF?

How did he do in 2022, 2023, and 2024?

If you’re looking to replace the WR coach, I’d try to pry Hines Ward from Arizona State. Their receivers were solid and blocked. Not sure why UGA hasn’t given him a look or the Steelers for that matter.

“After a recent practice, Ward said he’s proud of how his receivers have embraced his coaching. The two-time Super Bowl champion’s goal has always been to make them complete receivers. And nearly every explosive run by All-America running back Cam Skatteboo, Ward said, is a testament to how well his group has blocked.”

“That’s the culture I’m trying to create in that room, and everybody’s kind of bought into it,” Ward said.

Nope.

Dennis Simmons or Tucker. If Ward was successful here he would bolt to UGA right away. Simmons is proven and an elite position coach if he wants to move. Tucker has been with Heupel before.

I wouldn’t mind Simmons at USC. I stand by my take on the WR coach. I say go big. I mean really big. Laugh all you want but put a package together for Brian Hartline from OSU. Give him the OC/WR position. He has been under Kevin Wilson and Chip Kelly. You can laugh and say he won’t leave OSU all you want. But nobody knows until you try.

But I highly doubt anything happens. I think with Matthews staying Pope gets another year at least.

Why is that funny? Why not try? All he can do is say no. I mean why not try and go big like OSU did when they got Kelly? You are weak.

Yes... Let's waste time on a hire that will NOT happen because we want to go after a guy who has a plethora of young talent in his WR room, 2 games away from winning a Natty, and oh, checks notes, is doing it all at his Alma Mater.........

If we want to go big, why don't we just go try to hire Chip Kelly and Brian Hartline in a package deal since this is obviously just takes money

I don’t see Hartline doing anything unless it’s for a a HC position. He’s the best WR coach in the country though. Unless you’re going to go crazy and double his salary I just don’t see that happening. He’s got a great situation I don’t see him rocking the boat for just money or a title; would have to be real career advancement

Yeah it won’t happen because you say it won’t. Love your conjecture. So please explain what’s wrong with making the offer? I am sure you wil have some kind of genius answer 😂😂😂😂.

And seeings how you just know it wouldn’t happen? How about telling me the winning lottery numbers? Remember when Saban wasn’t taking the Bama job? Oh yeah…. Get real dude. You know as much as I do and that’s nothing about whether or not Hartline would leave. But keep thinking you know 🙄

If you think there is a snowball's chance in hell that Hartline is leaving that WR room AND his alma mater because of the idea we can offer him money that somehow Ohio State can not, you really are delusional.

Saban not taking the bama job is over 20 years ago.... That is the most recent example you got? Lmao... You are cooked bro.

Saban leaving Miami after 15-17 record is totally the same circumstance/environment for Brian Hartline to leave his alma mater for a step down in recruiting and talent on the heels of winning a Natty... Totally comparable.
