1. THIS IS NOT A THREAD FOR VENTING

I don't know if we can control ourselves on that, but the intent for this thread is to express thoughtful, interesting questions that might find their way to the people covering the Lady Vols. We are the readers and subscribers for whom questions are being asked at press conferences. Maybe those people will get some better ideas from the questions we pose here. Win/win.

Note to self: Just because I put a lot of thought into my snarky or rhetorical question doesn't make it thoughtful, interesting, or appropriate for this thread.

Note to press: Please stop asking "How important is...?" questions. There are only two responses to that question: more, or less. It's not a good look for people who write for a living to appear unable to articulate what they really want to know. If you want an expansive response from a coach, how about simply asking, "Would you please comment on...?"

2. THIS IS NOT A THREAD FOR ANSWERING

This will be another difficult temptation to resist. But if we start posting our answers to others' questions, then it will quickly turn into another debate thread. If someone wants to start a "Responses to Questions" thread, that's great. But no reporter is going to check this thread if they have to wade through a debate to learn what their readers and listeners want to know.

3. THIS IS A THREAD FOR FANS to inform the people who market their love of sports to us. Win/win.

A question I'd love to hear each Lady Vol respond to:

"Though it's still basketball, not everything in the men's game is transferrable to the women's college game. When you watch the Tennessee men play, what are things you take note of--not as a fan, but as a fellow court warrior?"

What can they bring to the Lady Vols program that can take Tennessee to the next level?

How the heck do I get past Ante 13 in Balatro? I keep trying to use retriggers and card-in-hand multipliers but I'm not able to manipulate my deck to stock enough steel cards and red seals to break through the boss. I end up running out of steam by the Big Blind in that round and while I haven't thrown my phone yet I can tell the odds are going up.

I’d like to ask CKC what the half court offense is that the LV’s seek to employ when forced there. It has to be addressed before March, on the court preferably. They are good enough to win almost all of their games without a good half court offense now, but in March it will be different.

Someone on this site will know the answer here, did Marshall ever develop the ability to play effective half court offense when forced? I’m asking because I literally don’t know.

Ball movement and player movement in that scenario looks raw as hell right now. Is that a kink in her armor or is this too early to tell with her new team? I like everything from her I have seen so far except that half court ball/player movement. Currently it’s mostly one on one ISO stuff. Maybe right now with Cooper, Whitehorn and Spencer/Spear it’s enough, but they will need to learn to play team half court by March. Some teams will be capable of forcing that on them, esp in the tourney.

This is not a vent, it’s a logical question and one which many others may be asking themselves. I suspect it is the one thing that CKC thinks about most lately, she is smart and in the P4 she knows it has to be addressed and taught soon to be successful against top ten type teams. I bet she is busy learning some half court team ball movement techniques tbh, her type never rests until all bases are covered. Have you ever seen many coaches more driven to win than her? Her edge is sharp, she is super competitive. I like that she comes off a bit short and testy in interviews, she has confidence.

Questions for both coaches and players:

“Ladies, the following question will give you an opportunity to show us your diplomatic skills.
What impact, if any at all, do sports blogs, forums, boards, have on your basketball activities?”

You all are swimming in the fan forum pool, you need to dip into the team pool for your questions. The best questions asked are the ones which only the team could answer about the game itself. They do not wade in this pool much if any and could care less what we minions are spouting off about. It’s not part of their real world. They spend more time on Tik Tok and X tbh and only for entertainment.

Question for players:

“You are getting mugged every time you attempt a layup or try for a rebound. No fouls are called. How do you feel, and what do you do?”

Clearly the most important two questions. Can we make sure Cora gets copied? 😉
Tongue in cheek as you clearly recognize. I haven't bothered to learn how to use blue font. BTW, thanks for your comment about Coach Caldwell's stare, "her variety of the stare" I believe you said. Most coaches have a stare, some more intimidating than others, and each stare uniquely its own. Coach Caldwell's history as LV's is only in the early stages and we all hope it leads to greatness. Time will tell. She is her own unique person in every way and not a replica of anyone else. This in no way intends disrespect to any former coach.
