'25 OG Emmanuel Pregnon (USC Transfer)

This is one I'd empty the bag for, and it will be necessary as he's not only a highly coveted player at a relatively premium position (see how much LSU paid for Thompson) but Oregon has him on campus right now. Assuming the staff and Spyre are aware, otherwise we wouldn't bother bringing him in

Regardless of what happens with Karic's appeal he immediately makes our OL borderline elite - he's effectively a 5-star prospect as a transfer and would combine with Heard and Sanders to make 3 of those. Moe is an experienced and talented OG that could be an upgrade over what we got from Sprags this past season as he was injury plagued, and the battle between Satterwhite and Anderson should make the winner ready to roll, even if there's some inevitable downgrade from Cooper.

Moe could also slide to center if the youngins aren't ready.

Top 9 (position agnostic) OL group of the following would be nice
Heard
Karic
Pregnon
Moe
Sanders
Perry
Satterwhite
Warren
Anderson

If Heard is really UT’s best OL next year, there’s trouble on the horizon (unless he improves considerably)

I think he improved significantly as the year progressed. He got a bad rep early in the year due to a couple poor games and him not playing in the OU game. The right side was really the problem, as Spraggins and Campbell were not good at all for most of the year.

I do think he improved but still got very poor grade in PFF consistently. Some of it could be tempo aspect, scheme and just being young. I do expect he will improve. I feel bad for Campbell. He did was as LT last year and we kind of screwed him in a way by moving him to RT. He struggled mightily there.

He didn’t get screwed, he knew what he was signing up for and reportedly got paid handsomely for it.

In 2022 PFF gave Squirrel White a higher grade for the season than Jalin Hyatt.

If any of these kids are actually halfway interested in going to school shouldn’t they make up their minds and get enrolled? Rhetorical question
UT is still 2 weeks away from starting spring semester. A few years ago they pushed it back to accommodate the new winter mini term.

Feel like he will be in better shape physically and motivated. Was injured and out of shape for a good portion of last season. If you remember a lot of people gave him grief for not coming back earlier; even Heupel said they thought he would be ready one game but heard didn’t feel right and didn’t play. Idk if he’ll be fantastic but should have a much better season and has great upside. Both our tackles weren’t great and player hurt or out of shape for several games. Question is why we didn’t have any other options there.

I am pulling for him; just found his overall performance and mobility to be lacking

Lmao if you think he struggled at RT, what do you think happens with him at LT with a bad knee?

There were some mental issues as well. When you’re out of shape and struggling and the whole team depends on you and you fail again and again it’s a tough head space to be in. I expect him in shape and motivated this year maybe I’ll be disappointed but he really wants to be a pro.
