I agree, I just put it on here because I saw that we were in on him. Definitely not our number one need although it was at the top last year.

We have a limit on spots right now and have greater need at WR and Oline. I mean I would love to have more depth at Safety and LBer but we just don’t have the space or probably the money either at this point.

You’ve got 81 scholarship players right now with 83 spots. We need another WR and Olineman worse. Probably going to have to make some cuts eventually

6’3 220 athlete with 4.3 speed.
McCoy was an All-American. And he was no match for Jeremiah Smith.

9 recs 179 yards 2 TDS vs #1 ranked Oregon.

There’s no CBs in college that can cover him.

We have as good a tandem at CB than anyone.

There are guys on the roster that will never play a meaningful down in the SEC. There are plenty of 3rd and 4th string OL that can be cut loose to make room for a guy that improves your secondary

I understand and I’m certainly not talking ish about McCoy, who I believe is our best corner since at least Alontae or Cam Sutton. But Smith isn’t the only guy who would’ve gave us trouble last year. Imagine if we played Arizona or even Ole Miss this season, we likely would’ve got torched a time or two. You never turn away a difference maker at corner, ever.

Edit: I can’t act like the Arkansas game didn’t happen either . That WR gave us hell as well
