Nah, difference is he was actually wanted by other programs. It’s a HUGE win by CJH and the AD to retain Banks.
No disrespect to Banks but that's how the game works. Let them know you're wanted and get that money.

People aren't happy with Nico apparently wanting more money because he's probably wanted at other schools too. Like it or not, what works for coaches to renegotiate works for players now too.

Absolutely, what I was sayin was that instead of his name just being floated out and rumored to other schools their was actual articles where those said schools missed on their top target which was Banks.

But yes I agree, it’s all part of the game now. Just wish it worked in the blue collar sector as well. I’d float my own name around to get raises.

Man, if you're an EMT, you deserve it. Thankless job most days. As a guy who has used your services, thanks.

His defenses are proven to be good, but I’ve had my doubts about “the adjustments” during games where the defense is getting torched - like the Ohio state game. Also South Carolina in 22, Alabama 2nd half in 23, Missouri 23, and several other games.
I get it but USC basically had our playbook.

Good. He is okay at what he does, and the defense has continued to improve since he has been here. I think stability helps us as we have a lot of returning talent next year on that side of the ball.

I have been critical of Banks but at least we know what we are getting with him.

Very much a meh for me. He's not terrible but he's not great. He benefited from Garner and Inge this year IMO. But in the games that mattered most, he was outcoahced and outschemed. Did really well against mediocre offense though. But Here's to hoping our passing game improves significantly next year so we can outscore the really good teams we play.
