Looks like plenty of tix available but i have never been in that gym. I understand it's not the best, but are there sections to absolutely stay away from? What section(s) is their student section?

Wife and I are thinking about going. What's the best way to buy tickets?

I don’t know that there are any areas to stay away from. They put the visitors behind the goal on the third tier. It’s really not any different than sitting behind the goals anywhere else.

A lot of people don’t like the gym because it is different. The floor is elevated and the goals are the ends of the court instead of the sides; which is weird. It’s kind of dark and ugly as well. However, I kind of like it. It has character. It is more of an old-school basketball gym instead of a huge arena.

The bathrooms and concourses suck. They were not designed for crowds.

Some of the views on the 3rd level aren't great and dont like attending games up there unless those are the only seats available. I have been to a good 30 plus games their being born and raised in Nashville. And the majority of those games I get told to sit down by Vandy fans when I am their wearing orange. A few times being told I was an a sshole for just standing and cheering for my team. Especially when Vandy has a good team and the place is full. Just something to know ahead of attending a game there.

vucommodores.com still had plenty of tickets left as of last week - they were all 3rd level end zone seats. Their students occupy the first level in sections G-K, but not the entire level - just part. That entire side of the gym are wooden bleacher seats. The opposite side of the court, sections A-E from first level through 3rd level are all chairback seating. The first level of end zone seats on both ends are also chairback. I love Memorial Gym - it's a great place to experience a game.
