Vandy player quit dribbling, took three full steps to the right, stopped, and took a big step to the left to move around the UT player? That turned out to be the difference. When I played the ball better hit the floor before you take that second step or it's a walking violation. I know the NBA refs have went totally liberal and seeing that, some, in college now.

It’s insane. I watched a possession for USCe against OU today. The USC guard clearly shuffled his feet receiving the pass (as Porter Mosier signaled traveling). No call. Then I counted a 7 count as their big man stood in the lane. They are failing to enforce the rules of the game. I’m afraid it’s going to get worse.

Men we got outplayed today, 2 games in a row where we played terrible in the first half. The SEC is a meat grinder this year. We’ll be okay
Yep....had to remind an overly emotional fan this about 5 minutes after the game. The SEC will be like this night in...night out. Some simply do not seem to grasp it. Win all at home and steal a couple of the road is what I'm hoping for.

It's not the fact we lost, it's the fact we played so terrible. I mean if you watched the Bama vs Kentucky game I would be fine with a loss if I was either team. Both played very well, just one came up short.
This loss tonight for us stings so bad because we looked absolutely lost on offense and much of the time on defense against, IMO, a not very good Vanderbilt team.

We shot close to 50% in the first half from 3’s. We shot better for the game than Vandy did in all facets. Our defense decided to play its worse game of the year. Yes, this game was worse than we played against Florida, defensively wise.

There's a lot of traveling not called these days. Stop a dribble, jump forward with both feet, land, then jump up to shoot. Catching your dribble between bounces by putting your dribbling hand partially under the ball to delay the next bounce. Two pivot feet before a shot.

Officiating mistakes happen. Doesn’t excuse having to battle back from down double digits (which never should’ve happened). We could easily say the out of bounds in the first half in which none of the officials actually knew who it went off of and just gave it Vandy could’ve been the difference too.

The SEC may be a “meat grinder” but Vandy is not part of the “grinder”. A bad loss is a bad loss. You’re behind schedule now. Fix it.

Missed calls are part of the game. I hate the minutes long reviews at the end of games and when refs aren’t consistent calling fouls.

TN doesn’t have the depth to adjust to a moving target for what is and isn’t a foul. If a couple of guys get into foul trouble, the last thing that you want to happen is to adjust and play less aggressively and then the refs begin to allow physical play. You can’t risk playing rough but often can’t get unmolested shot attempts on offense. That creates a huge disadvantage.

Traveling and double dribbles rarely get called anymore. Cade Phillips got away with about 6 seconds in the 3 point lane.

Mashack giving up the 4-point play just before halftime was huge. A stop there and maybe UT wouldn’t have been trying to catch Vandy for the rest of the game.
I think Shack and Z are amazing defenders and undoubtedly make our team better overall but I’m pretty sure they have both fouled a 3 point shooter 5 or 6 times each this year. A couple I get but it’s become a habit and the fact they haven’t learned from their mental break downs makes me wanna turn in to the HULK.

It’s happened a lot. I guess it’s not an official stat that’s kept.

There was another earlier in the game and Vandy hit all 3 free throws.
