Barnes has always called out players publicly... Calling out Chaz about what he's "paid" to do crossed the line... Coaches get paid a lot... Players seem to play too tight with Barnes.... It's his style but maybe the reason he can't make it to the top... Just coach and let the kids play... No need for added pressure with pay talk... No coach has ever brought that up with players even in professional sports

And the coach lovers. I've known ministers of churches that have trouble paying their bills with what they make that are held accountable to high standards....But coaches making multi millions are not to be challenged.

Well, coaches get paid to win games, but most of them start off as an assistant or HC at a smaller school and work their way up to major D-1 positions, and their salary corresponds.
With NIL now, you have players who are getting paid fat money and some haven’t played a snap of college ball.
I suppose you could chalk it up to immaturity, failure to grasp the offense/defense, being overrated out of high school or whatever, but they aren’t doing what they’re getting paid to do.

It’s part of the coaches’ jobs to correct, motivate, teach players. Calling them out publicly is a tactic and I have no doubt that when it happens it’s carefully thought out ahead of time by top level coaches.
