They grew up tonight having to play against 8. Hope they meet in the SEC tournament with 3 different officials!

We played a lot tougher than I thought we would.

This feels awful. But yeah we played incredibly hard. Still, I’m worried that Chaz and Igor are shrinking violets. Especially Igor. And that mihht end up putting a ceiling on us. If Barnes can get Igor to play his best we are as good as anyone. Big IF.

Yeah. Not trying to pile on a college kid who left, but you can tell we’ve had an upgrade in toughness at center. Felix hung with Broome surprisingly well (especially considering Broome was allowed to do anything while the ball was in the air)

We at least answered the question of can we beat Auburn. We most definitely can on neutral court * and if everyone decides to show up and play.

Felix outplayed him down low be honest. Freaking was on Broomes side all night. Pure BS

Hes the difference in us being good enough to have an outside shot at elite 8 FF run.

If he continues to play like he did tonight we don't get out of the first weekend. Chaz I still can't figure out. He really looks like he's rushing his shot in some of these bigger games. If he can't knock down the 15 footer as a secondary option to his offensive game, he's a very average player. He can drive and get that shot just about any time he wants it. But he's not hitting it consistently enough.

I don’t ever remember a Tennessee player play as well as ZZ did tonight defensively. He absolutely throttled Auburn and those guards that are really great players. Left it all on the court.

I don't know why you were necessarily surprised? The guy has been playing really good every game in conference. He just continues to improve.
He didn't have a ton of points tonight but he kept Broome in check for the most part.

Chaz hit one of the biggest shots of the game. He had a bad ending at Vandy, but the kid is learning about playing in this league under fire. He'll be fine.

I agree. Great effort. Defense was awesome. BUT this team is taking on the usual look as the season goes along. Good to great defensive team. Not so good on offense. This team needs Chaz to score more.

You have to describe the defense as more than good. Went to 1st in defensive efficiency after this game. We will score more against Bama and UK because they are horrendous on defense.

We play that same Defense against KY that we played tonight and we stomp their faces in.
