I was watching some old games on YouTube this morning and I got to wondering what ever became of some the players that didn’t go pro. I was watching a few games from the mid 2000s. Here are some names of some of the guys that I had forgotten about. Just wonder whatever became of them. Hopefully they’re all doing well.

Lamarkus Coker
Josh briscoe
Lucas Taylor
Austin Rogers
Xavier Mitchell
Dan Williams
Ryan Karl
Johnathan Hefney
Deangelo willingham
Brent Vinson
And many more.

I thought Coker was going to be the next big but couldn't bass the pee-test and knew for sure that Hefney was a top 10 draft pick until he came back for his senior year and decided to play half-hearted all season who then went on to like the powder. The Hefney falloff should be studied.

Coker was the best back on a roster with Foster and Hardesty. Shame that he couldn’t get his discipline right.

I was wondering about Jeremy Banks. He signed a 3 year deal with the Bucs and was released after two months. Some people can't get out of their own way.

Note, the "3 year" contract was only guaranteed if he made 53 man roster. All he got was his 10K signing bonus from them for being a camp body...

I'm not even sure if his two months tenure even got him to camp.

Usually they start up in early July don't they?

Chances are, Banks was brought in for their rookie mini camp for like 3 days the week after the draft. Bucs saw he wasn't gonna amount to anything and let him go before camp started and they made any further financial commitment to him

Rough business.

I see nothin wrong with being curious-- dont know why folks are jerks about it.
Because some people are complete A$$holes and they have no idea of how dark a place I could take them if they were in my presence. It’s easy to be a jerk over the internet. I choose to be full of joy.

Maybe like 6-8 years ago, I read a book written about what 12-15 former famous Vols were doing. Mostly the stars from 70's and 80's.

Think a guy in Chattanooga wrote the book.

Most of those guys were living a fairly normal life.

Just some highlights from this thread so far -

"The amount of disturbing knowledge I possess due to my own curiosity is truly mind boggling"

"Gay porn star?"

"they have no idea of how dark a place I could take them if they were in my presence"
