Yep, it's been out. Florida showed everyone how to beat us. It's why we are 3-4 in our last 7 games.

Deny Lanier the ball, who quite frankly, doesn't work hard enough to get open, and let our other perimeter guys shoot us out of games.

We won't drive the basket, and if we do, we struggle mightily to finish at the rim.
We won't go inside to our post players on offense, either. So, that only leaves one option; the 3-pt shot (and an occasional midrange jumper, which is statistically a bad shot). We get by with being so bad offensively on some nights because our D is on point. Not tonight, not by a long shot.

If he provided an interior offensive presence, it would. We are a one-trick pony on offense, right now. No post scoring, no rim-runners. 3s and midrange jumpers are about all we consistently get.

I thought we would drive to the rim more this year w/ Chaz, ZZ, Gainey and Igor. I was wrong.

Not new to basketball. I understand a loss is a loss regardless if it’s one point or thirty. Our half court offense is putrid. Idk why we can’t shoot but it’s getting worse. And no, I don’t want the team to lose.

And yet, minus the debacle in Florida, all losses have been by just a few points.
Figure some things out and those games will go the other way

Yep. I'm sure the committee is all about close losses and moral victories.

Not sure why folks thought Chaz was a slasher too. He was always a great shooter that lacked some ability to get his own shot. He shot 241 of his 420 shots from 3 last year at North Florida. That’s 55% at the midmajor level. That’s who we recruited and knew it. But ZZ and Igor can open up the floor if only Igor would do it more.

Maybe I misread his profile when he hit the portal. I knew he was a shooter but thought he could dribble penetrate to the hoop. I know Igor was known for slashing which he did a couple of times tonight.

They certainly are, that's why they were still ranked 6th after two losses in consecutive weeks. So I ask again, are you new to basketball? All basketball teams lose close games. Heck the average amount of losses of the last 15 champions is like 5.

I will also point out that my point went over your head.

Even though he got manhandled against physical centers, Aidoo played well in 80% of his games. It shows how well Barnes’ staff can develop because Aidoo is not good at Arky and just got benched because they needed a rim protector. That’s what he did at UT.

Estrella’s injury really hurt. It’s a different season with him IMO.

And there it is. Are you guys new to basketball. lol. UK was down their starting point guard and a forward. Our offense is near the bottom of the SEC. We let UK walk into our house and abuse us offensively. We lost at home to an inferior team. It shouldn’t have happened.

We aren’t #6. We are #8, and if we lose to Flordia we'll be lucky to stay on the good side of the top #15.

Carr was probably the only perimeter offensive player, sans Gainey, with the size, ability, and athleticism to get to and finish at the rim consistently. Losing him seems like a massive loss that greatly reduces the ceiling of this team, even with how inconsistent he was (which is something I certainly did not expect to be typing a few weeks ago.)
