Hope all are well here and I come in peace. Really enjoying this season

As Barnes instituted his offense/defense 3 for 3 method the last 2 minutes that clearly was smart BUT he made that substitution during the review which eventually was overturned and gave us the ball. This was the possession where Gainey lost the ball out of bounds. It was an awful possession after the change.

Now it appeared Barnes was asking could he change his lineup back to the offense group after the call.

Was he allowed to change after the change???

Imo this likely lost the game

I don’t think so. Too late after checking in at the scorer’s table.

You get a Bruin for bringing it up though.

Once you enter a game, time must expire off clock in some amount for you to re-enter.

Thanks

If that’s the case the rule needs to change

I think that the game management needs to be adjusted. Hold the players at the bench for a second or two. But I agree if the refs go to review. They reverse the call then substitutions made based on the original call should be able to be retracted.

The whole review process is a complete mess in the NCAA. Refs can longer make calls late in close games without running to the monitor. It’s terribly disruptive to the game flow and getting that call right is often offset by unfairly gifting time outs. The last 3 or 4 minutes of game time last night might have taken 20, 25 minutes or longer. It’s terribly disruptive and was really frustrating to witness.

Or I think you can burn a time out and then substitute.

The clock doesn’t necessarily need to tick off any time. The refs just need to whistle for the play to begin. If a substitute enters with 4 fouls and commits a 5th before the ball is inbounded, no time runs but that player comes out.

I know I've watched some games before ours and think great just 1 minute left. Our game should be on instead of using the APP for the start, then it takes 20 minutes to play that last minute time outs. reviews etc.
