I think Chaz is a great player but he doesn’t seem to have that “chip on the shoulder” that majority of our players have.
I hate to say it, but I think him being so close to home/family members and that he’s playing for TN may have eased up on him… meaning there’s less to prove now. Too comfortable in playing. Maybe too many distractions??

You coming awful close to using the 's' word to describe Chaz.
Just remember folks, he said it not me.😁

I don't believe Chaz is soft or he wouldn't be able to deal with Barnes' coaching method. The problem is that most guys playing with ZZ and Shack are going to look "soft" in comparison. Chaz is a laid back kid who doesn't wear his emotions on his sleeve like those two, and he's adjusting to an entirely different level of competition than he's ever experienced. He clearly could have used a year to prepare for this, and hopefully by March CRB & Co. will have found ways to get him freed up.

It’s kind of a Barnes player profile to sign “nice guys”. It’s a culture thing and probably why there is never a hint of off-court trouble. We just don’t have guys with a “dog” mentality. ZZ is our “dog”. We’ve lacked players like Grant Williams, Admiral and Lamonte Turner the last several seasons. Especially on the road you need guys with some attitude to overcome the crowd. It is what it is for better or worse.

Eh, nice guys can be aggressive players. We also had Uros Plavsic.

There are times he seems forget people will block his shots on drives or pick his pocket from behind. Hes a set shooter. Not a bad thing but he isn’t one to take over the game. I think the whole team relies too much on ZZ. They played aggressive when he went out of the UK game, when he comes back in the game they wait on him to create offense for them.
