with Matt Ruhle saying it makes no sense to let other programs see and evaluate your players due to transfer rules, etc. Obviously, TN‘s already scheduled the O & W game for this year, but do you see the Vols and other programs soon taking the Huskers approach to limit potential transfers post spring practice?

Wow...they have had the highest attendance for a spring game by far.

Right now, I wouldn’t follow Nebraska’s lead on anything.

Some of the kids that transfer out do so at suggestion of the coaches. Having spring game helps them show other smaller schools they can play.

Spring game really are not what they once were. It felt like a light game and evolvement into a fan-service practice.
Agree. It’s a fan experience game anymore. Most players have plenty of tape and it’s really just a glorified practices. My first thought was “paranoia”, but there are no rules anymore so I guess I could see scouring spring games for a position of need.

If other teams are winning games against you based off of analyzing your spring game, then you were screwed to begin with and not winning anything of note

Geez, it’s not about losing based off your spring game, it’s about losing players to transfers due to the game. Hello?

They should just make it like the pro bowl. He’s right why give anyone a look or risk injury. Just go autographs and flag football

I read that they lost something like 30 players to the portal after the season. That’s brutal. That being said I’d be surprised if opposing coaches really pay that much attention to other teams’ spring games.
