Vols ranked #4 in latest AP poll

Would be nice to see 3 SEC teams as 1 seed but it won't happen.

Putting on my Nostradamus hat, the tea leaves show Aub 1 seed, Ala 2 seed, Vols 2 seed,
Mz 4 seed, Ky 4 seed.

Take it to the bank.

Yes, I hope I am being too negative here, but Ky, Ala and tourney scare me off the 1 line

would 6 or 7 losses keep us on the 1 seed? I wouldn't think so.

Nah, there will be 2 #1 SEC teams
I agree with this. Depending upon how the rest of the season unfolds, there could be an outside shot of three SEC 1 seeds. I think, based on where everyone stands now, we may end up something like this:
1-Auburn
1-Bama/UT/Florida
2-Bama/UT/Florida
2-Bama/UT/Florida
3/4-Missouri
4/5-Kentucky
4/5-A&M
6/7-Mississippi St
8-Ole Miss
8/9-Texas
9-Vandy
10 or lower-Oklahoma
possible bubble teams-Georgia, Arkansas

Still not sure I'm buying Bama just yet.

They have 3 losses

Still have this stretch of games to end the season

vs Auburn
at Missouri
vs Kentucky
vs Miss State
at Tennessee
vs Florida
at Auburn

That's the end of their season and they'll have no byes between any of those games.

They definitely have a tough stretch coming up, in which I anticipate more losses. But according to KenPom ratings, they have one of the toughest Strength of Schedule's so far.

I don’t know how you can not buy Bama unless it’s an emotional take because they’re Bama. They have the #2 SOS, 7 quad one wins, and have wins vs. Houston and Illinois at neutral sites, @UNC, @UK, @A&M, and @MSU. Their losses are @Purdue by 9, by 2 on a neutral floor to Oregon, and the loss at home to Ole Miss - all top 25 teams.

I think they’re clearly the #2 team in the SEC right now, with us nipping at their heels. We need to beat them @ TBA to have a shot at a #1 seed on selection Sunday.

Putting on my battered Vol Syndrome straight jacket, we all end up in the same bracket playing on the Pacific coast somewhere....

That can’t happen based on the bracketing rules. The first four teams selected from the SEC will all be placed in different regions. Based on today it would be Auburn to the South, Alabama to the Midwest, Vols to the East, and Florida sent West.

They definitely hold their own cards. I can see them as a 1 or a 4 seed. I’d like to see them win 5 of 7 w Burn being 2 of the 5 Ws and the good guys being 1 of the 2 Ls.
I might be a little biased tho and a big time lover of chaos. 😆
