Everyone has a price and it’s not only money…I don’t believe this is a real threat but it wouldn’t be the most shocking thing I’ve ever seen either…it’s just how this world/society works

This is nothing more than a wish list to fill content. Haven't we been thru enough coaching searches to recognize it?

Can't imagine a better situation in every way than Danny has here, but there's an awful lot of oil money in Texas, and that has become a good job.

I don't think it would ever happen, but the fact that he is high on that list speaks volumes for how far this athletic department has come in his short time here.

That’s Dallas Cowboy country and a hugh metropolitan area. He would be a small fish in a huge lake. They would have to pay him a Huge amount of money and give him a lot of control.
Well it is SMU, they've been throwing money around like candy on Halloween..long before NIL etc

Here is a list of programs that might want to, but can never pull Dan White away from Knoxville:

-- Ohio State
-- Bama
-- UGa
-- Michigan
-- LSU
-- Florida
-- Penn State
-- Notre Dame
-- Clemson
-- FSU
-- Miami
-- Texas (or little brother A&M)
-- and all the others

Think of it this way, SMU: you're in good company.

Danny White rocks.

Go Vols!

It’s true…like it or not…if they offered him oil money and complete control of the department who’s to say he wouldn’t take it?

SMU was once a powerhouse up there with the best if the big 8…pair a boatload of money with full control and a chance to return yet another program to its former glory you’ve got the perfect recipe for something like this…

I don’t expect it to happen at all…it’s almost certainly click bait (which I have not indulged)…but to act like there’s no chance is a little shortsighted IMO

You know you're doing something right when your name is mentioned as a potential hire somewhere else.

I hope his name comes up every time an AD position becomes available.
