No. 4 Volunteers overwhelm Oklahoma, 70-52

Success is any romp on the road, a three-game winning streak and a chance for revenge at Kentucky. Marvin West chronicles the ROMP at Norman... Great writing! Good reading!

is this the most complete team that Barnes has had a TN? Last years team with DK was good but I felt it relied too much on DK to score. On this team you never know who is going to step up on any given night.

If we have now found our offense, this team can win it all. That streak of 3-4 games where we couldn't score worries me, but if we are just decent shooting, we can beat most teams and be in the mix. Also, I think Auburn is the best team, but there's no Purdue w/ their giant that's just going to roll thru post season. Also, think last years team would be right in the mix of where we are right now...jmo.

One thing about sports is that you want to be peaking at the right time. It looks to me like Auburn has already peaked. We almost got them. Now, I see the Vols emerging from their bout with illness and injury and are looking the best they have all year.

When they shoot like that, no one beats them. I wish they would save some for other opponents. They didn't need to shoot that well to beat Oklahoma. Shoot 40% and beat the cats, just don't go 0fer. 0-8, 0-10, 0-12 like last time.

I wouldn't call the team complete without Estrella back in the saddle, but that's going to be a while.
And the mystery of why Cam Carr left the team hasn't yet been solved.
Instead of staying with a team that's at the top of the heap where he could have contributed to the success of the team, he chose to transfer to Baylor where he hasn't yet contributed anything.

Forgot about them...Being 10 deep would have been nice.
