Must win game we can't lose to Auburn this is a Quad three game more than likely for us even though it is a two right now but at 55 they only have to drop one place for it to be a three. They can be a pesky team their record does not show how well they can play from time to time. We should win by bout fourteen I hope 87 to 73. Make those free throws or it will be much closer.

It happens every season,,,someone thinks it's a glory road and assumes the role for a few games then magically disappear after they find out that doing it properly take more time and attention than they bargained for

NP,,,it give me a much needed break ;o)

what most don't realize, as this poster obviously does not, is that the moderator does not allow double threads and ultimately merges them together,,,so I cannot do a game thread bc this one is in use

over time I have learned not to do a gamethread 5! days in advance bc it turns into a bitching thread instead of game topic

Game 1 of 6 remaining for the hosting race. I don't know how badly Tennessee will take out their frustrations on Auburn, but my suspicion is that they'll breaking out the police tape and gathering eyewitness accounts in Thompson-Boling by the end of this one.

Yes, that's right UT, I called it Thompson-Boling. Don't @ me.

Auburn’s most recent injury report (Sunday at 1pm) showed Taliah Scott, one of the biggest transfer portal additions in the country this offseason, as out for Monday’s game against Okie. Scott began the year as a starter for Auburn but hasn’t played since November because of a wrist injury.

Last outing: Auburn (12-11, 3-7 SEC) secured a 65-52 home win over Texas A&M on Thursday.

UT can't be too mad at you for calling it Thompson-Boling since it's full name is Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center. Like you, at first I thought no way was I calling it Food City Center. I go to watch basketball games there, not to buy groceries. Harrrrumpf!! 😅

But then I began to soften as I saw how Food City has really stepped up, and continues to step up, with really nice renovations and upgrades. So over time I've gotten over all that initial criticism and now just appreciate the money they're putting into it. AND I spend more of my money at Food City now to show my appreciation for their support. 😀

S'fair. I wouldn't say my negative tone was about Food City - although I find their prices are almost always higher than all the other surrounding grocery stores not named Publix - but just a general sassiness about commercial branding and slapping stickers on every surface in sight. I don't begrudge or mind them wanting to have a hand in supporting UT. If I ran Food City I'd do the same. And they occasionally have sales. But I'll be sassy about it, just as I'll be sassy when they put logos on the uniforms or whatever else they think of next.

Though that said, I do think they'll transition to just calling it the Food City Center. Slowly. But surely. Someone will say "gosh, calling it the Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center sure is a mouthful," and other people in the meeting will nod and say "you're right, let's shorten it" and there you go. It is the way of things.

Jumpy needs to scream at these VN moderators or forum "officials" constantly and gesticulate wildly. Stomp his feet. Get in their faces! 😂 Put on a big threatening show. That's the only way to get things done. Get himself T'd up! Get himself ejected. He's too soft.

Jumpy (@Coach Jumper), you can run your contest right here in this thread. Same as you always do. Collect the predictions, make your little spreadsheet. Post it. Post the winner.

Or – if it is dear to you to have a separate thread for your contest – make one. Forums have separate contest threads all the time. A contest is NOT a game thread.

Everyone knows your purpose is to force LV fans against their wills to take you off their "ignore" lists. If they don't, you arrange matters so that they can't read or participate in the community game threads. Several posters have commented on it. Stop bullying people.
