And if you are asking for all-time, does this hypothetical take into consideration their pro career?

And are we asking about in a vacuum or relative to their era?

Mike Edwards would be in this discussion except that the 3-point line in NCAA came into effect in 1986-87. Mike played at Tennessee 1969-73 (freshman weren't eligigble during his career in Knoxville). That said, I'd say Chris Lofton.
Very underrated...and great from the corner.

BERNARD KING! - No Doubt! - He was Awesome at UT in College…. He was Awesome for the New York Knicks (And other teams) in the NBA! — Give him a couple more strong players & he easily could have won a couple of NBA Championships! He was like Kareem Abdul Jabbar in Milwaukee - stranded As a One Man team. —He was THE MAN!!!

It’s Chris lofton. If you pick anyone else you’re just trying to be cute with your answer. He’s tied for 15th all time in college. There is no other answer.

Ernie Grunfeld would have had his share too.

John Snow as well. He had 20 against LSU one year in a big game that would have been 30 now. Wish I would have had a $1 every time Joe Dean said "String Music" that day!

Not sure I'd agree with the one man team assertion. Bobby Dandrige, Lucius Allen and one Oscar Robertson were pretty darned good.

It’s Allan Houston and it’s difficult to argue otherwise. A friend and I went to the UT/LSU game his senior year. He scored 43 with 11 assists and they couldn’t do anything to slow him down. He had such a beautiful stroke and was one of those rare players who seemed to do it effortlessly. I wish he had been surrounded by better players and coaches. He was a great player.

You’re older than I thought
