Divide minutes by total points scored gets you minutes per point for each player

Tess was the five best and Sara was the seven best of scoring points per minutes

Not the worse players on the team as some make them out to be
Tess was five best on the team and her production should have gotten her more minutes
Now how a team share the ball and the offense the coach runs has impact on how many points a player scores per minute.

Sorry but you can't divide points by minutes. You have to divide minutes into points to get total points scored per minute. So with Tess that would be .4 points per minute times 434 minutes would give you her point total of 183. Cooper 679 minutes divided by 485 points would give you .71 points per minute. If we used your foemula then Tess would have score 1,029 points and Cooper would have scored 950. So you have the wrong formula. The formula to find points per minute is minutes played into points scored. Misunderstood what he was pointing out at first math is valid but it does not prove anything as far as how good a player is.

What is invalid about the reverse stat she posted? Math seems accurate. Just a different mathematical view. Can you post the source of your guidance that fueled your admonition it is not allowed?

Math is valid misunderstood what was being presented. It proves nothing Darby is still not the fifth best player.

I divide how many miuets a player played by points scored that gets how points a player scores per minuet. Cooper play 679 minuets divide by 485 points shows it took her 1.4 minuets to score each point. If you did your way Darby 183 points by 434 =.421658986 still fifth best Spencer points scored 302 divide minuets played = .40810808 SIX best does not which way tess has the 5 best numbers Spencer 302 pts divide by mimuets 740 = .408108108

Cause if you are scoring 4.17 points per minute like they list Jill Hollingshead then if they played 421 minutes then they would score almost 1700 points. Please math is not that hard. Same for any of the others no player scores 2 points per minute. If you scored 1 per minute you are a super star.

Dang, you are picking a strange hill for your credibility to finally die on.

READ THEIR LIPS, how many minutes does it take to score a point. It takes Jill over 4! The fewer the more productive.

Bet the player sequencing of both calculations would sync up, but since I have not looked I won’t arrogantly make any stupid statements.

Yes that is true but it defeats your own purpose of saying how well they are playing as only Darby is in the top five and just barely over Spencer. Plus it does not tell the entire story as there are not to many people going to agree with you that Darby is a better player than Latham, Spencer, or Boyd. More to a game that what you are presenting. I'm sticking with Darby being like number 7 or 8 player on the team. If your opinion is she is top five you are welcome to an opinion like everybody else.

The point they are trying to make have been for days is that Darby is the fifth or better player on the team. If that is your opinion cause she scores a point a little over every 2 minutes played then fine. It is correct what they presented, still JMO Darby is not a better player than Latham, Boyd, or some of the others she is scoring more often than. They want her to play a lot more minutes to late for that and she was never able to get them anyway over some of the other players.

What if I want to predict how many minutes they played by the points they scored?
Doesn't really prove a lot cause they may play 30 minutes take 30 shots and score 20 points. Doesn't make them efficient a lot more goes into it other than if they scored a point in 2 minutes. If they took three shots it is still ugly scoring.

you was the one in the game saying Tess SARA JILL were not carry their load. NOt what you say word for word. Tess 434 mins 183 points , Boyd 487 mins 118 points Latham 399 minuets 108 points took tess 2.371 miuets get a point took Lathan 3.694 mins to get a point Boyd took 4.127 mins to get a point . just saying produce 5 best points per minuet played. Like i said alot depends how team share the basket. and coaches offense. lot posters place big importance on scoring points.

So much more to it than just your one stat. Darby 37 percent field goal shooter. Latham 46 percent. Boyd 50 percent. Spencer just slightly better shooter with her last three game woes 40 percent. Then you have rebounding other stats. You would need to an entire efficiency rating to actually rank their worth to the team. I'm in total agree with the minutes Coach Kim is giving Darby, Puckett, and Hollingshead and their careers are almost over. They are not suddenly going to be starters and none are good enough overall to beat out the players for minutes that are playing ahead of them. That is my opinion on this and if yours is different no problem.

where did i say Tess was the 5TH besst player. Tess got most of her points before the coaching staff sub in a 1:30 then a 1:00 or 2:00 five more subs come in. thats been the start of game subs pattern. KIM going to have addjust her subs alittle does not matter the players just a little longer shifts so players will rush shots. i do think tess should be getting more than 12 mins a game. As far as more than scoring Kim and Kelly have said they liked how the Team plays when tess is in the game.

Is this SEC only or adding in OOC?

Probably will get more if Cooper can't play. I am glad this is their last season Tess, Sarah and others not suited for this system. We need players like the freshmen coming in and even more from the portal. So glad we agree Tess is seven or eight and that is why she gets just 12 minutes. Top five should go 125 of the minutes so that leaves 75 for the other five. So maybe 15 and she has got that in a lot of the games.

think the way Coaching staff is sub has hurt her production lately. think darby should be getting more mins than around 20 mins . Spencer runs point hurts points. lets leawe it at that.

Ok even if I disagree that giving her or Sara more minutes would've made any difference.

I'm more concerned about how many points is the girl they"'re guarding gets, but this would be nearly impossible since they trap and rotate on defense.
